“Poor service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

Unfriendly waitress, not one smile the whole evening (not only with us, but with nobody) and the restaurant was full, 10 tables in total, with 2 ppl to serve all tables, however the other one was a hostess and mostly just standing by the door. There was a guy behind the counter and sometimes he would come out to the tables serving wine.
I felt like we´ve been served with the attitude of "ok here is your food now eat", not being asked in between the tapas if we needed anything, like salt or bread, a fork that she took away because she dropped it but never brought another one so we had to wait until she showed up to another table to ask for to bring a fork, while the food was getting cold.
By the middle of the dinner we were out of bread and would have liked some more and she took so long to show up after we signaled (to serve wine twice at another table) that we preferred finishing the meal without the bread. Again she didnt show up to take the dishes after the meal or ask if we wanted anything else, so after getting bored waiting, we just stood up to leave. When we we have already picked up our bags and ready to leave, the waitress finally came and asked if we wanted desert (we were already leaving the table).
Such a shame that the service was so bad, because we love the food, and we went there on purpose after we really liked it there the first time. This time there was also no ambiance music, and the tables are really close to each other, like the lady next to me was really NEXT to me and sometimes felt like we were having dinner with other ppl because we could hear the conversation of the people sitting at the next table, and probably the others were also hearing our conversation, so not really a couple´s place if you want a nice time out with your partner.

“great tapas lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014 via mobile

One of the best tapas lunches I have ever had, and believe me I've had a few. Excellent wines, and didn't break the bank. Not the cheapest at about £50 for 2 with tapas, desserts and wine, but given the quality, no problem. Very friendly staff, especially when we turned bup just before 3 when they might have thought they were closing. Would certainly revisit.

“Special attention for families”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant is directly adjacent to the tourist information office and was recommended by the hotel. It is small and the set of steps at the front make it difficult to navigate with a baby buggy.

Once inside, the service is superb with our little one receiving special attention. One small point is that a proper high chair would have been good. We couldn't fault the food either, particularly the starters. Unfortunately we had to finish early due to someone's bed time and although the bill wasn't astronomical, quality doesn't come cheaply.

“Awfull service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

Terrible waitress, very rude! We left directly after ordering our meal, after the waitress started a discussion about a wine we did not order. The waitress was so very rude that we decided not to spoil our evening and leave. A shame because the place looked nice.

“Average Food, Overpriced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2014 via mobile

Went here on a recommendation from our hotel but it wasn't great. The staff were all very good and it is a very nice (if small) room but the food wasn't great, average at best.

Perhaps it was partly our fault as the tapas dishes we ordered didn't seem to work well together, but on top of this it seemed somewhat expensive for what we got and there was far too much dried herbs on top of two of the dishes. The wine was good though. It had a hint of being a tourist trap, hard to tell from this visit, but I wouldn't dine here again as there is better value and much better food to be had in Sintra.
