There were a couple of negatives - It was not easy to find this specific address on this road (although even with a sat nav this was the case with most places in the area) and the shower mounting was broken.
However the positives far outweigh this and hence we gave it 5 stars.
The hosts were really helpful and engaging and booked restaurants and taxis for us and were very accommodating. The views of the Sintra mountain and palaces were beautiful including at night when they and the castle are lit up.
I had wifi available throughout the hotel/pool area.
Breakfast was an additional 7euros ea, but well worth it with homemade breads, and home grown fruits and avocados, figs, cakes pastries and eggs with local cheese and meat to eat buffet style.
The pool was nice if a little cool.
The room was superb as was the house with loads of nice ornaments giving it a grand but personal feel. Also very clean and was cleaned and tidied every day.
A quieter location than being in Sintra although it does mean having to drive or get taxis, but it depends on personal preferences.
Overall would definitely recommendMore
