Arriving at Sintra railway station after spending a few days in Porto.Having travelled down on the unbelievable high speed train to Lisbon. We got in a taxi outside the station and were taken in about 10 minutes to this really outstanding old Monastery.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed in a beautiful old courtyard, surrounded by gorgeous Wisteria trees.Shown to our twin bedded (by request)room overlooking the swimming pool& stunning views of acres of forest. The peace & tranquility ,no words could describe how peaceful everything was.
Our stay of 3 days was definitely not enough.Nothing was too much trouble for Madalena the owners daughter & Maria the owner, whos'e piano playing was awe inspiring.
The staff were pleasant & very helpful
Cannot wait to return
