This area and the park is beeeaaautiful! Very green, with special light, and a range of different plants. Recommend walking there, only about 30 minutes in a slight up hill. Easy to find as you just follow the road.

This is nice place to visit but not as exciting as Quinta da Regaleira. We enjoyed exploring the park but be warned...it is a nightmare with a pushchair as the paths are very uneven!

Very nice walk with many paths to explore and the gardens are something worth seeing to be sure. The palace is quite something on its own but the grounds and gardens make the visit well worth the trip.

In Sintra there are lots of beautiful gardens and palaces, it's like a fairy tale city. One of them is surely Monserrate..It was built by a british milionaire as his residence. It has beautiful english type gardens ,with lakes and secular trees .A real joy to walk around.
There is also a small palace ,moorish style with beautiful red roofs.
One can organize some events there.
Don't miss it and bebsure to bring a camera.

A palace within a lush garden. A Gothic-style chapel in ruins, a small romantic cataract lakes and centuries-old trees. Excellent for walks in hot summers along trails that go through the woods as by landscaped. The little palace dominates a hill, from where provides a great panorama. With an excellent Indian architectural style have been restored one year ago. One hour visit including foot walk and a palace glance. Superb for taking pictures.
