Tulhas restaurant is a wonderfully quaint restaurant off the main square. The food was not bad (my steak was perfectly cooked, husband's lamb was tough) but the real charm was the atmosphere and getting Portuguese lessons from the owner. The service was much better than other places in Sintra, meaning we didn't have to wait over an hour for our food and the waitress was efficient and fun. Don't expect perfection, but if you expect to have a good time, you will.
