“Nothing special and overpriced.”

We chose the place following the reviews on trip advisor. However though the quality of food was good it seems overpriced. We have eaten at many places in Portugal and we know now that the same quality is available for half the price.Besides this afternoon almost everyone complained about the bill. They also tried to cheat us so be careful. We don't understand this policy.I guess they think since you are a tourist you will never come back to the same place.very wrong...

“The best in Setubal”
Reviewed July 8, 2012

This cosy restaurant serves great variety of fresh fish and the service is excellent.
Better book and some specialities like seafood rice you have to order a day before.

“good, even very good and rather expensive”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

We were there a friday night and the nex day at night , we had both days grilled squid ( delicious ) with a bottle of white wine .
I only regret that the sea food presented has no price announced which will cause you a small disapointment when the bill comes.
I would have appreciated a bit more transparency and i would have appreciated to see a menu with the ( daily ) prices of the seafood presented .
Afterwards, I felt like a tourist fallen in a trap .
I surely will go back there with the necessary caution .

“Miss this at your peril”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

what a joy it was to eat here, nothing fancy or pretentious about its location or image just great fish food in what can only be described as a true locals restaurant. The service was friendly, helpful and I suspect amused with us Brits. A fantastic wine list at more than acceptable prices (the French need to follow the Portuguese on this) made the whole experience a joy. Our only regret was not having time to re-visit

“Always excellent”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

I've been there several times, and it's mandatory, when someone arrives in Setubal and wants to have a really good meal - "ostras", "ameijoas à casa", etc. are all excellent. The price is fair...
