Palmela Village Golf Resort
Ranked #3 of 5 Hotels in Palmela

This resort is very accessible and close to Lisbon. It has a pool and nice bar with good food. The golf course is available to play if you bring your own clubs. The resort is not too far a drive from the beach. The weather is fabulous.

The surrounding area is very beauitful, with lots to offer.

Palmela town, Quinta do Anjo, is nearby, Castelo de Palmela Pousada is located within the village castle's walls in the old convent. Located on top of an imposing hill, it affords one of the most impressive panoramic views in the area. Palmela Pousada boasts excellent wines and superb cuisine. A luxurious and historic place,.

Palmela is a good place to start to discover the Costa Azul (blue coast)

Also in the region, Arrábida Natural Park, a beautiful protected area covered with pines and rich Mediterranean vegetation, including many rare species. Clear waters of the sheltered beach of Portinho da Arrábida are relatively warm and popular with scuba divers and underwater fishermen.

Palmela is also located a few kms from Setubal and the resort peninsula of Troia.

Also nearby, is the town of Setúbal just 15 km away; Lisbon Airport (LIS) is under 45 minutes. Setubal famous for its Moscatel wine and fried cuttlefish and Sesimbra, famous for its beach and its fish restaurants.

Vila Nogueira de Azeitão and the José Maria da Fonseca's wine cellars. They have guided tours.

Close by, miles of excellent beaches, including Portinho da Arrábida beach, located in a lovely fishing village in a breathtaking small cove.

Stayed in Palmela Village for five nights in September, this is a real gem, located only 35-40 mins from Lisbon easy access by the Vasco da Gama Bridge, while it is not completely finished it is still a really lovely, peaceful, relaxing and most enjoyable place. The pool area is wonderful with a bar area serving a large selection of food. The pool itself is spotless with a many sunbeds supplied and also a bean bag area to sit and relax if just wanting a few drinks while catching a few rays. The club house is a great spot in the evening with music at the weekends. The food served is excellent which even prompted us to ask to see the chef where we clapped him on his approch to us and told him how much we enjoyed the meal. We had three excellent meals here and tried something different each time, everyone in the group really enjoyed the food. Was going to point out the amazing deserts but don't want you to think the mains weren't just as amazing. Would love to visit here again.

This is my second holiday to Palmela village golf resort,me and my partner have no interest in golf so i wasn't sure if picked the right place the first time, but we found the resort to be very pretty and the staff very helpful, I stayed in a studio with my partner which we found to be spacious and modern and very good standard, The villas look lovely for larger groups or family's.
we hired a car as there is plenty to do in the local area lots of nice beaches and good restaurants just a short drive away, and a supermarket nearby. Dropped the car off at the airport around 40 min away, I don't drive very often and it had been some years since i was behind the wheel and the fist time on the right side of the road, But i found it all easy enough, im going back next year. I recommend Palmela to couples, friends,Solo,Golfers,Family's.

Just back from a very nice holiday in palmela village golf resort. Well the resort is not finished yet because they ran out of money. There are saying there are up to 6 building companies willing to finish it. It needs to be finished badly. The pool area was very quiet for the first few days but got busy at the weekend. The complex is probably half residential which is nice. The golf course was only partly open and the greens very poor. Thank god I left my golf clubs at home. Rooms very nice. The clubhouse was nice for food but the restaurant never opened at the weekend. The price of drink was shocking a Bacardi 5 euro without a mixer 2.50 for a mineral come on get in the real world. We ended up going to local bar the forum great bar. 2 euro a pint and minerals 1.20 Bacardi 2.20 most of the Irish and English went there. Eating out not that easy ad most menus in portuguese and most people had no English. I would love to see the complex finished as lots of people have baught apartments there and not getting return on investment. I would not have any problem returning again.

Excellent value for money. Lots to do in Palmela town, Quinta do Anjo, Lisbon. Great beaches nearby, mountain bike rental, golf do Montado- good course, great price. Food excellent in nearby restaurants and at the palmela village clubhouse. Pity the golf course at palmela wasn't open as this would be a great addition.
