New tapas bar, hosted by Pedro, is an ex Ellen's addition to Bom Sucesso ; we had a range of wonderfully authentic, fresh and tasty food with a bottle of Muralas white wine , including desert for 2 people (40 euro) and would recommend the experience if you are in the area.

I stayed at the apartments; the reception was quite kind and helpfull (I arrived a bit late and they had phone answering if it s all right), but we are asked to do the registration of all the occupants (3 apartments, 14 occupants...it s too much paper involved...). The apartments were previous warm out, and very clean. Large apartments (a 3 bedroom - +- 150 m 2), with large balconies. Very well equipped, specially the kitchen ! It was possible to do a late check out. There was a poll (we didn`t tried it...) and we were near the beach (300 m). It is possible to use (paying...) the spa from the hotel nearby, and the golf course of the resort. The resort is large, but at this time of the year almost desert. Must have a car because the resort is quite isolated, and a few kms away from cities of Óbidos or Peniche.

Room Tip: Ask an apartment with a large balcony (first floor).

A very relaxing stay
The apartments are modern, clean and very well equipped;
The fireplace, the green and quiet landscape were perfect for three relaxing days;
Bom Sucesso is also the perfect place for golf lovers;

The small city of Óbidos is near, it is a very interesting visit.This small town has different events during the year like the chocolate festival or the Christmas town, I loved the Christmas town

Great villa - as new, very contemporary with views of the golf course and majestic far off hills.

Free shuttle service to Obidos and lovely private beach, ten minute drive away. New beach bar was developing, sea food, baguettes and chilled wine all good.The sea was freezing but great for surfers. Good service from pool bar staff and shuttle bus driver.

Yes you absolutely need a car for supermarkets and essential trips to nearby towns of Obidos and Peniche, although taxis are good value. (90 euro to Lisbon airport). It is quiet, hopefully there will some entertainment when the Hilton hotel opens, also the onsite supermarket was disappointing and pools were freezing, but overall we still had a great holiday.

Can't overstate the villa had all the mod cons, maid service outstanding.

We (2 x 3 balls) played here on Saturday 29 September. The course is set in the middle of a building site - although little in the way of construction was happening during our visit. We had previously played Royal Obidos (fantastic course) and D'El Rey (also great course) and were really looking forward to this one. We had 12.10pm tee off time and nice weather. No buggies were available as tournament was on but we managed to bag the last two electric trollies - I would advise you to ring and book buggies if this is important to you (if it is hot it certainly will be!) - and you are determined to play here.
The course is okay and reasonably scenic though very steep in places - a buggy is highly advisable if you have any mobility issues.
The major problem for us was the complete lack of organisation on and around the course. We played the front nine without incident but then caught up with a very slow four ball (who buggies). They simply refused (or were unaware of the basic etiquette of golf) to let us play through - spending much of the time searching for balls, chatting, admiring each other's shots and driving back and forth across the fairways. We waited for ages on each tee - for instance, 30 minutes on the16th and 40 minutes on the 17th - before giving up and walking in - by then a wind had got up and we were all cold and simply had had enough. We raised the issue with the assistant pro who informed us that the four ball had set off at 9.10 that morning and had taken over EIGHT HOURS to complete their round.
At the other courses we played an assistant had followed us to the first tee and watched us drive off - presumably to satisy themselves that we could actually play the game and get round without holding up the course.. Bum Successo needs to do the same. There was also, unike the other venues, no drinks cart driving around the course to offer refreshment - vital on a hot day.
This golf course was dissappointing and we would not recommend it. The clubhouse has the usual facilites but its membership and officials lack courtesy - we were certainly not made to feel welcome and our visit was far from enjoyable - there are far better courses in the vicinity.

We stayed for 3 nights this summer. The check in guy was very nice and polite. He went to our villa with us to show the basics. We booked a 2 bedroom villa and it was a great surprise. Large villa, nice decor and very well equiped with everything you can imagine in a kitchen. Free wi-fi and cable tv with lots of movies and series chanels and also free sport tv.
We can take the resort shuttle to go to the beach and there you have free chairs to lay down.
We play golf so we were occupied for long period but for those who don't play I don't think there are many things to do plus staying at the pool.
I have some complaints to do.. First one is about clealiness... Especially the kitchen. I think they should be more carefull to avoid a quick degradation of home appliencies. we also found some crums at the sofa.
I also didn't like the golf service at all with exception to the bar/restaurant employees who were very polite and friendly. One of the girls at the golf reception was rude and not customer focused. clearly that is not her future and she doesn't like what she does so why do I have to endure people like that on my holidays!??!!? The buggy boys are also not very friendly... they do not greet customers or put our golf bags in the buggy. Very different from other clubs we visited in Portugal.
You have to deliver your buggy until 7:30 PM when you have almost 1:30h of day hours to play. This is not very normal also....
Despite this, it was a very good experience!

We booked via Interval International as a Getaway vacation for Xmas. There was three adults and 3 year old twins in our party. On arrival we received locally sourced complimentary cheese, biscuits and bottle of red wine. The resort accomodation get 5 stars from me. I loved it. The resort it self and the area was very poor but has huge future potential. The resort is below the standard we are used to as we are weeks owners through Marriott Vacation Club. We spent less time on the resort and spent a fortune on tolls, petrol in search of activities. You need a car to stay at Bom Sucesso. You need to drive up to 5 miles on curvy country roads to get to the beach. It is not a sea-front resort. In fact the whole area is a massive development and construction project. We found Bom Sucesso to be a lifeless, soul-less resort and the atmosphere is that of a ghost town. If you do not play golf you will be BORED to DEATH. We spent less time on the resort because there was just nothing to do or activity for the kids. The resort was practically empty when we stayed from Xmas eve 2012 to new year's eve. There is no indoor swimming pool and Kids Club cost a whopping 55 euros per day per child.Our electricity also was cut off for more than 3.5 hours during our stay and another power cut out during the night. The guy at reception on the 30th of december at mid-day was discourteos when we complained. Although the problem was fixed he did not apologise and was neither sympathetic. I was upset because it happened on toddler's birthday. We coouldnt make lunch whilst the power was down. Maintenance took a while to repair it. The silver coast is a hidden gem of Portugal. We will go back to the resort but not until the resort is completed. It was like holidaying on a construction site. Several mornings there were loud noises from the construction of the hilton hotel that is being built. There was no laundrty facilities in the unit. Although the resort operates a ry cleaning service. I am shocked that a resort that plans to build 600 villas (a community) did not think it useful to offer its guests a coin-operated laundry service. We travelled to cainha da rainha about 15 miles to use a coin operated laundry. We will only go back if the facilities improve. The curvy roads to the resort need to improve.

Room Tip: Villa away from the Hilton hotel beeing constructed are quieter.
