Absolutely wonderful experience at the Clube de Journalistes - if you're coming to Lisbon, you have to go here! The setting is spectacular, the staff are warm, friendly and unpretentiously take care of your every need - the food is absolutely delicious and wonderfully paired wines are served by the glass. It's all very modestly priced (around 11-15 Euros the main course) and they really take care of you - complimentary champagne on arrival, excellent digestif when you request the bill. I couldn't fault a single thing - such a fantastic experience - we said we'd try a different place every night in Lisbon but we're definitely breaking that rule to go back here.

We stumbled upon this restaurant via trip advisor and were certainly right to trust previous reviews. Simple, elegant yet experimental food framed in an intriguingly decorated venue. Following our dinner the chef invited us to see the garden area they were working on together for the summer months, and we chatted to one of the clearly impassioned co-owners for a good 30 minutes along with several glasses of champagne on the house (in addition to the complimentary glass that started off the evening). Sure to go back before we fly home and will defnitely recommend it to our friends etc.!

I am always wary of these so called 'fusion' restaurants fearing psuedo-wine tasters to fill up the venue and pompious food to be served before me. In my opinion this was the exact opposite. Quality ingredients and simple dishes with modern twists cradled in a friendly atmosphere made up of a cross section of locals and day trippers. Their homemade basil flavoured ice cream will put them on Lisbon's food map.

We took some Lisbon friends for dinner in this restaurant located away from the city centre. The rooms are not quite elegant, but the atmosphere is nonetheless appealing. Clube de Jornalistas has been here since 1983.

Everything we ordered was good and some things were really good. Try some of their more unusual offerings and you're not likely to be disappointed. The service was friendly to the point that one of the managers lingered at the table for an extended conversation, to the delight of our friends.

This was the first restaurant in our experience that handed out bookmarks asking us to share our opinion of our visit on Tripadvisor. Their confidence seems justified.

it is not the top fusion food you can expect reading review but:service quality, atmosphere, courtesy....make food even better than what it is. some fashion details are a little bit dated like the menu list into the envelope. quality price ratio is more than acceptable and at the end dinner becomes a pleasure even if nothing excellent because everything is good.

I loved this restaurant from A-Z, Warm welcome. Excellent service., Elegant mix of old and Modern interieur, great portuguese wine list and very good food. My only frustration: The foie gras was sold out. :-)
