“Cosy”
Reviewed July 29, 2011

This is a very cosy restaurant with some of the very best food on the planet. It's run by the owner, Dona Graça and she is the cook herself. Just the starters are enough to fill you up and trust me, you will want to try almost everything. Then, she'll make the menu sugestions and don't bother, because whatever you choose, it will be delightful. Try the beef with "drunk pears" and potato puree" - my favourite.
For the dessert i can only tell by what i've tried... 3 chocolate bavaroise with mint. Taste it and it's like a trip to heaven, every bite.
I've been there twice - the first everything was marvelous, but the second no so good - There was another group of people in the room, older than us and i believe they got the best food and preference... I didn't like this but I still enjoyed very much my meal.
Really, it's 5 stars for the food quality and ambience. It's worth the trip!

it's reservation only! Don't forget!

Reviewed March 22, 2010

This is a real little gem. Set in a small village in the middle of a picturesque wine growing region, this small restaurant is a delight. Dona Graca welcomes you in to feast on the excellent hot starters, the inventive mains and delicious desserts, washed down by the local red.
