Description: The Trindade Beer Hall, the oldest and most beautiful beer hall in Portugal, was created in 1836, in the space which had, since the 13th century been occupied the Santissima Trindade Convent. In what used to be the monk's refectory, amongst the 19th century painted tile panels, the exceptionally good beer, and the best dishes of traditional Portuguese Cuisine and the freshest of seafood, you will discover why our costumers feel so well looked after at Trindade.

“Restaurant with history”

I recommend this place to people that like portuguese art and good food. The local beers are so refreshing and the typical dishes are D-licious. The atmosphere of portuguese style tiles (azulejos) are so pretty. Well located near transportations as Metro or tram or Bus, so I recommend NOT to take the car there. It's expensive and a headache. IF you really need to take the car, park in Largo Camoes park and walk 5 minutes up hill. Parking in the street can be problematic.

Worth a visit not a meal.
Standard meal.
The service sometimes is not so good as it used to be...
I was there with some brazilian friends who got disapointed due to different treatment

“Mediocre food in a lovely setting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

We had a late lunch there. No reservation required, and we had a table immediately. The hall filled with lovely tiles is charming but other than that, the food is mediocre.

“Nice surroundings, rather bland food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 29, 2013 via mobile

Ended up there while looking for reasonable Portuguese lunch near Barrio Alto. The hall is indeed beautiful but the food I had was rather bland: octopus salad was fresh but not tangy enough despite the coriander, cod dish with minced potatoes also lacked flavor and beer was typical ale. Service was efficient but the fact they mainly catered to tourists shows a bit. Pricing was reasonable, but not sure I would have been happy with more expensive dishes.

“Just right!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

Some people see this restaurant as an attraction, others as e place to eat. Well, it is both! It has been there for a very long time, so it cannot be bad, but you might find it overpriced. (I did not have to pay since I was on business trip). Lots of tourists, but then again this establishment is also an attraction. We had the seafood platter with lobster, crab, shrimps and other sea food. Everything yummie! Meats are also a specialty. I would recommend this brasserie style restaurant!
