“Lovely lunch spot near the castle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014 via mobile

We visited Pois on the fly - relying on Trip Advisor recs only. What a great choice. The atmosphere is awesome. Community setting - cozy, relaxed, sofas and comfy chairs. Food was great. The quiche was excellent, as were the guacamole and "cheese curd" tapas. Prices reasonable and free wifi. Great spot to take a break from walking the hills!

“Nice cafe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2014

Nice cozy cafe just steps from Se. It's always crowded with tourists, and you will have to wait a bit to get a table. That does not mean that it's a touristy place, not at all.

“Lovely food and interior -slightly overpriced drinks”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014 via mobile

Loved this place-friendly waitress and nice relaxed vibe.

Salad was gorgeous. I had the fresh juice of the day and at €3.60 I think it was a little overpriced.

You won't be let down on good quality fresh ingredients if you eat here.

“Always a pleasure to come back here!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2014

We've been here several times before and have never been disappointed. The food is still great, so is the wine. And the people are wonderful. We always feel very much at home. It's lovely to be surrounded by books and people who are so obviously enjoying themselves. Our favourite place in Lisbon.

“Original, cosy restaurant, especially good for a light lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

Colourful couches and armchairs around coffers used as tables may not be the most comfortable furniture for eating, but, together with the bookshelves and the three vaults of the ceiling, they certainly contribute to make this restaurant so original and cosy. If you happen to be strolling near the cathedral around lunchtime, Pois Café is a good choice for a light meal. I would suggest the Caprese salad, made with real buffalo mozzarella and good pesto, or the mixed Lebanese mezze. After lunch, you can relax reading a book on one of the couches. Customers are even invited to bring a book they have already read or a DVD they have already seen and exchange them with a book they would like to read or a DVD they would like to watch.
