“Cute little cafe in Alfama, near Se Cathedral”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

Good food, good service, great ambiance, nice music, lots of books and magazines (in all languages), and wifi! A few steps only from Se Cathdral. Thus, perfect for a pause to grab a bite/drink, rest a bit, and check your email.

“Lisbon gem”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

We had been in Lisbon for a few days and hadn't found a great cafe and then we came upon this place. It has a chilled out atmosphere, pleasant staff and nice food. We are going back and back until we leave the area

“Brilliant lunch venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 29, 2013

From the moment you step inside you instantly relax and chill out. We shared our table with another couple, however the seating was large (and comfy) enough that you had plenty of space. We ordered a warm goats cheese salad and a toasted sandwich, both plates were cleared, they were yumee! My hubby had what he described as the best hot chocolate ever, and I made short work of my delicious soya latte!
Can't recommend this cafe enough for both food and laid back atmosphere.

“Great food good vibe”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

Really good little place in Alfama. Quaint and cozy dining in what almost seems like a used bookstore setting. Just a few tables, with table-sharing among diners. Very relaxed vibe. Great place to have a glass of wine before you tackle the streets trying to figure out how to get back to Tram 28. We were there for lunch. We split the quiche carbonara and it was delicious. One of our favorite dining experiences in Lisbon.

“An oasis in Alfama”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

This place is surprisingly different from the neighbourhood it's in. Located in the Alfama district, the oldest in Lisbon, it is a quite trendy and relaxing place, filled with sofas, tables from different sizes and so on. It is a really good place for a quick lunch or to rest a bit after walking in Lisbon. With an Austrian owner, the menu is in Portuguese and Austrian, but everybody speaks reasonably good english. Food is really good too. We had a omelet with an small salad and one of the dishes of the day, a beef Bourgogne with white rice. Good food, nice service and fair price. It is worth a stop if you are around the area.
