The rooms are small but clean; the location is worth it though. It's near many siteseeing locations and good restaurants. The breakfast is not bad and the staff is helpful.

Very good hotel, excellent location. Friendly, helpful staff. We had a superior room (303) with a good view of the square. Modern pleasant room, reasonably large, with a very spacious bathroom with huge shower. Double glazing kept the noise out from the square at night and very good air conditioning. We also had a fridge. Nice touch were the chocolates and local custard tarts in the room along with a welcoming note from the General Manager. We also had the use of a free mobile phone which had Google maps and lots of local information/apps on which proved very helpful but bus and tram routes would have been a useful addition. Good choice of both hot and cold food for breakfast with the breakfast room overlooking the square. Would certainly recommended this hotel.

It's not often I sing the praises of a hotel or its staff without any hesitation, but this is one of those rare occasions. The My Story Hotel Rossio is a small boutique gem tucked into one of the best locatons in Lisbon, directly off Rossio Square. From the room, to the staff, to the breakfast and the location, I cannot say enough good things about this property.
First off, I want to give honorable mentions to two staff members in particular - Leonel and Tiago. Both of these gentlemen made our experience fantastic and went above and beyond for us. Firstly, we received a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a view of the castle. I didn't ask for this, but Leonel knew we'd had a long journey and could benefit from the extra space in the suite. He was so kind and gracious at check-in, and it set the tone for the rest of our stay. Tiago was normally working when we would return to the hotel after sightseeing. His friendly and helpful demeanor was always a welcome experience after a long day exploring.
Often, it's not how staff react when everything goes smoothly, but how they handle problems that matters. I had one small issue with the wifi late one night and it was resolved by the time I woke up the next morning. That's good customer service.
Pros and cons are as follows...

CONS:
- I wish there was a pool for those hot Lisbon summers, but you can't have it all.

It's true that our unique location in the probably most important square of Lisbon that is close of everything important such the train to Sintra (Palacio Nacional de Sintra and Palacio da Pena), the historic Tram 28 for an easy connection to Castelo de Sao Jorge and Alfama, and Praca do Comercio.
Allow me to add as member of the team (each one of us have a personal tip) that the spring and summer months are particularly popular with our guests wishing to take advantage of the opportunity to relax in our amazing beaches so close of Lisbon city centre. Can you imagine leave a hotel in morning upon breakfast, walking 15 minutes along the breathtaking Tagus river take a 30 minutes train to the beautiful Estoril or Cascais and enjoy an amazing beach morning or afternoon and have a meal of fresh fish fished in the previous night? Lisbon has so much to offer and we are happy to advise the best you can do beside of course the historic Lisbon which is also amazing.

Four of us spend 4 nights in this centrally-located hotel, overlooking the Rossio square.
The main railway station (Rossio), with direct links to Sintra, is a couple of minutes walk away, as is the “restaurant row “ of eateries. The staff are friendly and helpful, and reception is open 7 by 24. Not all rooms face the square, but the photo shows the view from ours.

I stayed with my sister in an interior twin room. It was quiet and had thoughtful touches like a free phone with maps and the tv was concealed as part of the mirror. Entrance is facing the plaza, not in the backstreet.

There were a lot of hotel options when researching Lisbon and, not having been before, it was hard to know where to stay - I'm glad we chose My Story Hotel Rossio. The location was perfect.
When we checked in, they upgraded us to a room that faced the Praca do Rossio, which was so lovely.
In each room, they have an iPhone that is free to use during your stay so that you have access to data. We didn't need to use it, but I had never seen that before and thought it was so clever and useful.
Know that if you're using Google Maps, it will lead you to the back of the hotel. The entrance is facing Praca do Rossio.
