This isn't a normal hostel full of backpackers and bunk beds, but more like a private flat with 5 rooms (mix of double and single) with a shared bathroom with 2 showers and 2 toilets. So its very quiet and good if you want some peace and quiet within Lisbon. Be warned the hostel is up a short steep hill (if you approach from the nearest metro station) and then on the 3rd floor with no lift, and on the cobbled, uneven streets its hard work with a large suitcase. Very friendly staff, happy to help and give advice on what to see and how to get there. Shower and toilet cubicles are very small, and there is only one sink.
Easily walkable down into the main part of the old town in about 15 minutes, but also handy for the metro. Breakfast was included and fairly basic, but a nice surprise given the low prices for the rooms. Would recommend if you want a clean, good quality, quiet hostel and don't mind sharing bathroom facilities.
