“Up Up and Away”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

Get a Via Viagem card , use on all transport, take funicular up to see Church of San Roch, gilded, gold and thousands of cherubs.
Walk down by turning left coming out of church , take your first left and steps down( with good handrails) all the way while taking in fabulous views of Castle in distance.

“Like being at the fair”

Using the trams is a must - get a 3 day pass to use on trams and underground. Bargain and loads of fun.

“I just love them!”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

You can't go to Lisbon without trying as many forms of transport as possible! I love the trams - especially route 28 which takes you up both sides of the valley and to the Cathedral and castle - it is the best starter to get your barings. Buy a 7 Colinas card - 5 euros for 24 hrs on trams, metro, buses, elevators and funiculars. The Elevator de Santa Justa alone is normally 5 euros so it pays for itself in one trip! Go on funiulars Gloria and Bica too as they are just as much fun,
The trams are mostly older ones like in San Francisco which just add to the great fell about Lisbon

“Funicular and trams”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

Old trams were excellent way to tour city. Metro 24hr ticket covers all trams as well as underground and buses. The Lisbon Tower in the centre also well worth a visit. Lift up to top, then spiral staircase (not for people who suffer from vertigo) to roof level but fab views.

“Fun”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

The tram tour (3) seemed a little expensive when paying but it was a good 1+1/2hr so fair value. The recorded commentary was a bit quiet and "crackly." The regular trams are very good value (buy day tickets etc from Post Offices)
