Location of hotel was hard even for local taxi firms to find. Room was clean , fresh towels every day and bed linen.only down side was the breakfast, tables not layed out correctly , one morning teaspoons for cearel, next morning desert spoon , no teaspoon with cup and saucers when putting some sugar into cup of tea or coffee., having to ask for plates, glasses .hot food was not replaced when running out so waiting around a lot.staff on breakfast duty need to be trained to set up tables correctly. Go and eat out in local buffet cafe cross road where the staff eat lovely food good value for money , large portions good services, but it is not 4 star hotel more a 3 star hotel.

Room Tip: Check flooring , bathroom , toilet area., bedlinen is clean, towels.

travelled up to lisbon for a short visit early october and stayed at the hotel turim europa. Hotel quite difficult to find in amongst the one way systems, but once found, we were very happy with position and standard of hotel. Some reviews on trip advisor and other sources painted a varying and sometimes disconcerting picture of the hotel, but from the minute we booked in to the morning of our departure, we had a very very satisfying experience. Air conditioning was brilliant ( and I have complained to several hotels in portugal about poor quality a/c). Very friendly in reception and bar, where we took great advantage of their happy hours. Tea/Coffee facilities not in room but one phone call to reception and within 5 minutes they were there, with us. Breakfast was busy but always good choice. Cannot understand why some people moaned about same old, same old. The choice you had covered almost all tastes, from fruit to cereal to continental to english cooked breakfast. Dinner was available at typical city cost, but we ate out because opposite hotel entrance, 50 m away, there was an excellent portuguese buffet restaurant, The Cote do Gaucho or something similar. Honestly, more food than you can eat for anything from 12EUROS TO 2O EUROS, the difference being just the quality of meat you get. it was excellent quality and price.
You are in an excellent central position for bus tours, restaurants, being just 2-300 metres up from the Marquis of Pombal square. We had 48 hr bus tour pass for 25euros each, and saw everything in the city and along the coast to Cascais. Weather was brilliantly sunny all days so that does help make the whole experience so much better. Any down sides? certainly not with the hotel apart from maybe, the cost of their own inhouse carpark. 15 euros per night, although, at weekends, you can park most places outside for free. All in all, great hotel and absolutely wonderful city, full of very friendly and helpful people.

Room Tip: we stayed on 4th floor near lift entrance. No noise problems from street or from lift passengers. w...

We stayed here for 4 nights in mid October. The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel itself was clean and the room was large with a nice bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There was a hair dryer in the room and toiletries were provided. The bed was a queen size and very firm. My wife felt the sheets were very ruff and we slept on top of the comforter for our entire stay. It might have been due to the humidity outside, but the AC seemed to barely cool the room. We had a street facing room on the 1st floor but had no noise issues. Breakfast was included in our rate and there was a large variety to choose from. Lots of fresh fruit, bread, pastries, cold meat and cheeses, and there were eggs, bacon, and sausages available, however, the eggs were runny, the sausages were basically Vienna weinnies, and the bacon had an unidentifiable taste to them. The breakfast staff were always non stop busy but one lady always seemed to have a smile on her face which was appreciated. Over all the hotel was fine for our needs and if not for the location we would probably stay here again. The location is deceiving as it appears to be only a block from the parque metro stop on the map. What we didn't realize is that you had to walk up hill for half a block then turn right and walk across a bridge, then walk down 3 flights of stairs, then down the hill a block to the hotel. Every time you left the hotel you had to go up the hill then up the stairs. Keep in mind, you are dragging your luggage when you arrive and when you leave. Being fat, lazy Americans we tried going down the hill and back around to the metro to avoid the stairs but this turned out to be impossible. Even though the metro is quite close it is quite the hike to get to it.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in September with my daughter. It was a bit away from the tourist area which was very easy to get to on the metro, which was only a short walk away. Room was clean and adequate and staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast and reasonably priced tea and coffee always available in the bar area. Also well situated to get to and from the airport. Would use again.

We were attending a wedding in Lisbon and stayed at this hotel for a week in July 2013. It was good value, the staff were excellent we could not fault them, extremely helpful. The location is pretty central about 5 to 10 minute walk to the centre of the city. Very Near the Picos Metro stop. The rooms were adequate and clean. Only only thing I found negative about the room was the wardrobe was very small. The cleaning ladies were brilliant the rooms were spotless.

The only downfall of the hotel was the breakfast, you had to wait around for bacon, scrammed eggs, glasses etc, We asked the staff and they would get the items but sometimes it took a while.

Stayed for a week during Rotary convention , comfortable quiet room , hotel in quiet location but near to good transport links.
Probably more three star than the rated four but very good value compared to other hotels of comparable price.
