The Tower is cool to look at and you get to climb to the top. There is a 1 way electronic control system that is nice for the stairs. There is not very much to see on the inside though.

Very lovely - we hired bikes and had a nice ride from the city centre along designated cycle paths about 8k

We go there by walk from Miradouro Sao Pedro de Alcantara and this is the best place on the bay. It's worth to go there because it's a great piece of architecture. Beside good view the tower is important in Portugal's history so you can lern few things from there.

We didn't go in as we'd gone up the other monument - but it's really interesting and beautiful so we sat in front of it for a bit and had a look around the area. There's a cafe in the nearby Army museum (or something), and it was great to have a jug of sangria and a panini looking at the Tower.

Worth going to see, at least on the outside, but the site doesn't offer much more to see on the inside. It's got some decent views from on top the tower, but be prepared to wait a long time to go up, and even longer to come back down! There's only 1 staircase, so it switches directions for a few mins each way.
