“Perfect location,good atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012

This small design hotel has big rooms and is situated in a very good location.
You can take any of the public transports in less than 2 minutes and you can walk to most of the beautifull places that Lisboa has to offer.Very safe at night, the rooms have no external noises.
Unfortunately our room (602)had a very bad smell.
Breakfast time is great, good selection and cosy atmosphere.
The staff is very knowledgeble and kind.
Prices are reasonable and they have a happy hour from 6 to 8 pm at the bar.
As is a 3 star hotel, amenities in the bathroom are limited.
Minibar available in the room, air conditioning working well,a perfect place to visit the beautifull city of Lisboa.

Had a five day stay in this excellent hotel. Situated less than a minutes walk from the metro and with two bus stops right outside it could not be better placed for exploring Lisbon. Some reviews talk about unfreindly staff but we found the opposite to be the case. If you book ask for a room at the front of the hotel, they are excellent.

This hotel is very clean and modern. Its 5 minutes walk from metro and the rooms are great. Most of the staff at the front desk are helpful but the staff at breakfast are unhelpful and unfriendly. The food at breakfast is plentiful but poor quality and is chaotic even early in the morning. The coffee is from a self serve machine and is bad. If you are not worried about breakfast and staff then this is for you. They serve food at other times which i cannot comment on as i did not eat it. Nice views from some rooms.

Two weeks ago I could enjoy a lovely stay in this hotel. The "Creative Triple Room" we were assigned was amazing, everybody was willing to help and there were only smiling faces all around. That’s great customer service which I have not come across very often. Congratulations!!

Why spending more if you plan to be out most of the day. Althought it is located in the very good location, close to the metro. room is big enough for the family and very clean. Breakfast was good enough.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2012

Location:

Good central location within walking or metro distance to main attractions. Taxi from airport was around 12 Euros. On Sundays, most of the small cafes in the immediate area are closed. We did not have any issues with noise from either the street or other guests. We enjoyed walking to and from the hotel, although others may not feel the same - we figured it helped burn off the calories of the custard tarts.

Room:

Our room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. No safe in the room which really is needed for a four star hotel. Wifi was okay but could freeze up at times.

There is mould evident on the walls on the bathroom which really does need to be addressed by maintenance (rather than house-keeping), however the actual areas you come into contact with were clean and spacious.

Breakfast:

Coffee was shudder inducing - straight from the mass making machine. We ended up going to the cafe next door for a real coffee before we had breakfast - this is highly recommended, especially with warm (yes, warm) custard tarts on offer there all day!

Food was not always replenished during the breakfast sitting times so would recommend going earlier rather than later. More fresh fruit, rather than tinned would bring the standard up higher. The overall standard was ok, but not great in comparison with what most European hotels offer for breakfast.

Staff:

We found some staff were helpful, others were barely interested in their jobs. When we asked about trains to Porto, one female front desk staff member literally shrugged her shoulders and said, "I don't know because I never catch trains". It took some convincing to try and get her to at least find out the departure times to avoid having to wait longer than necessary at the train station. Other staff were exceptionally friendly and offered assistance - without bringing their own personal preferences (or problems?) into it.

Overall, we would stay again in the hotel due to the location and overall experience. Some areas for improvement are evident but would not deter us from a return visit.

This is a very nice hotel which has been updated with modern touches. The location is very convenient to metro and nearby airport bus stop. Staff is friendly and very efficient. Breakfast buffet is well stocked and has a good variety. I would stay here again.
