Wow! Up an unassuming back street, slight whiff of drains and a FABULOUS meal! For 17 euros just enjoy simple food, beautifully cooked. A mixed meat, cheese and olive starter, meat, fish or seafood brochettes plus salad and potatoes for a main course and either desert or a glass of port. We also had a pint of beer and half a litre of vinho verde all for 43 euros. Delicious! The prawns on my mixed fish brochette were at least six inches long and that glorious barbecue flavour...My husband raved about his mixed meat kebab, with succulent chunks of beef, pork and turkey. What are you waiting for?

You need to book this restaurant or turn up early as it is tiny. Run by an indefatigable woman and a young girl, with possibly dad in the kitchen, this is an atmospheric experience in a historic building which was once a dairy. Speciality is skewers of meat or fish which are hung on a metal contraption over your table (not if seated outside though). Husband had nine huge prawns - they are served in the shell so don't order if you can't do the shelling yourself! They come with potatoes and rice. Small dessert menu, but nice lemon meringue pie.

Small, intimate and delightful. Excellent service by English-speaking waitress, and delicious food. The kebabs are great; the steak devine. Recommended!

Found this place via TripAdvisor when two of us needed something to eat ahead of a concert, It was a great find - they squeezed us in and we wolfed down their excellent mixed starter and then two of the skewers of meat/fish/seafood, which is basically what this place does. A simple and limited menu but it's all great. We enjoyed it so much we took the rest of our holiday party there a couple of nights later and everyone loved it. Their red wine was great too.

Six of us enjoyed a wonderful meal last night. Limited menu but superb food. The atmosphere, the staff, the food could not be faulted. Traditional Portuguese food. Give it a go!
