We had a fantastic two-night stay here. The room was large and comfortable and had a big, modern shower. Breakfast was great - plenty of choices, even bacon and eggs to go along with your choice of pastries. Also just a block away from the Saldahna metro station and bus stop, so it was incredibly easy to get to anywhere you wanted (including a bus to Belem).

We found this hotel via Expedia. We were thrilled with this hotel and location. We stayed central about 20 minutes from the centre. The hotel was lovely and the staff team very helpful and welcoming.
The room was spacious and there was enough space in the enclosed closet. the bathroom was a good size too! the only thing wrong was there was no extractor fan in this room
However we cannot complain as it was perfect. We did not have breakfast there but chose a local cafe around the corner that did a super cheese and ham toast. Plus the subway is only 3 mins from the hotel too.

Basically a fabulous hotel and a great city. And the weather was great too!!

We agree with all the good reviews for this hotel. It is a nice, modern, new and clean hotel with friendly staff.
We had a beautiful walk in shower. There is loads of storage space if you are staying for longer than a couple of days. Fixtures and fittings are all of high quality. Overall it was also a good value for money.
I have to say that we didn't find any nice places to eat nearby. There are a couple of ok places for breakfast/lunch however we struggled to find a good place for dinner that was not a tourist trap. There is a restaurant around the corner called Galeto which we ended up going into out of desparation as it didn't seem too inviting. It actually turned out to be an interesting experience not so much to do with the quality of the food but the atmosphere and the fact that it seems to be frequented by the locals.
On our last day in Lisbon we stayed at the Olissippo Oriente hotel and although still a decent hotel Olissippo Saldanha was a considerably better choice.

Just 30 mettres from the tube station but so quiet, ellegant and cosy and above all with the most helpful and polite staff. Easy transport to/from the airport and to evry major attraction of Lisbon. Nice, safe area with places for shopping and walking around. Breakfast more than average and cleanliness perfect. Ideal either for leisure or bussiness. Ask for a superior double, but even the standard room will conpensate you. Any question about the city will be answwered by the friendly staff, so definately a perfect value for money.

Room Tip: High floors, superior double room.

I got a great rate at this hotel using Expedia. The lobby and rooms in this hotel are a cool contemporary style and everything looks very new. Staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. One block or less from the Saldanha Hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here and can recommend this hotel. Nice breakfast buffet available in the lower level breakfast room at an extra cost. The only drawback in my opinion is the location. If I were to return to Lisbon I would stay in the neighborhoods of Baixa or Chiado or anywhere near Rossio Square next time. You can get to these areas fairly quick by subway but it would be nice to just walk (it is walkable but my feet were too tired after long days of sightseeing).

I suggest this place when you’re in Lisbon because their rates are very good and very reasonable and their food is good. I loved their rooms too. They had very comfortable sheets and they had free slippers for your use. They also maintained everything spotless during our stay and they are consistent with their hospitality. I have stayed here before during a family trip and now I visited again with my friends from the office. Still well kept and still impressed. I will be staying here again for the next trips I will be having.

We stayed in this hotel for my 70th birthday, we had a room on the 6th floor with wrap round balcony, a lounge area 2 T.V.s and huge kingsize bed.Large bathroom with walk in shower with 2 types of shower and double sinks.Plenty of towels, dressing gowns, slippers and toiletries. The whole room and bathroom were immaculatey clean and this was maintained throughout our stay.Breakfast is in the basement , but the whole room is very light and decorated in white and blue with proper linen tableclothes and napkins. Great choice of food, good fruit juices, scrambled eggs, bacon and mushrooms, topped up as needed, cheeses, cold meat and smoked salmon, cereals (4 types) lots of bread, rolls, croissants, danish pastries, sausage rolls and I forgot also fresh fruit salads. It is a 3 minute walk from the metro and 20mins from airport on the metro cost 1.40euros plus 50 cents for card which you keep and just top as required. It is a 15 min walk to the Gulbenkian museeum, well worth a visit not too large and good coffee shop. The whole area is very safe to walk around, plenty of choice of restaurants and a supermarket nearby open on Sundays and till late and Avis car hire in the same road as hotel. The hotel gave me a bottle of good sparkling champagne style wine to celebrate my birthday a very nice touch. There is carparking under the hotel 10euros per night but not suitable for large cars. A special mention to Celia on the reception in the evening and Ricardo during the day, nothing was too much trouble for them, booking restaurants and advising on trams and metro. Would definitely go back and recommend fo a long weekend in Lisbon. When returning to airport on metro which arrives at Terminal 1,so if you are flying with Easyjet you must go upstairs and catch bus to Terminal 2 not very well sign posted.

Room Tip: Floors 1-4 have single beds in some rooms, floors 5 and 6 only kingsize beds.Top floors quiet but so...
