Walked up and down here most days during our week's stay. Always something to see and a pleasant place to watch the world go by
The main avenue of the country

evening have fun in the many quisoques located there
We visited in October
Starting from the Praça dos Restauradores near the magnificent Rossio station we walked all the way along the avenue to the Edward VII park. It was an easy stroll, gently uphill in warm weather. We were pleasantly surprised to be walking through a mini - park, next to the road, with trees, statues, sculptures and fountains on the way to the impressive Marquis of Pombal monument, at the top of the avenue.
the Alexandre Gomes fountain and the Monument to the fallen
This was a very nice walk in the beautiful boulevard.
Cafés are scattered everywhere and live music can be heard along the way.
Don't miss a visit to the beautiful Praça dos Restauradores at the southern part of the boulevard.
