We were there for brunch and we were delighted.
The atmosphere is quaint, it seems a place of other times.
We ordered croques, the specialty of the restaurant which were great. Waiting times are justified by the quality of the food.
Highly recommended the chocolate cake.

This is a great place to go to soak in the local atmosphere and hang out for a while over some coffee or drinks. The actual address of this place is 5 Rua Senhora Monte. My wife, 14 year old son and I recently had a meal in Cafe de Monte and the food was excellent. The selection of cold meats wwas freshly sliced to order. My Crouq Monsieur was perfect and my wife's salad was completely fresh. They have lots of interesting knicknacks and board games etc. Its not the place to go for a quick meal. However if you are in this part of the Graca its a super place to just relax and recharge before marching onwards up and down the many hills of Lisbon.

I went there with a friend of mine for a coffee on Sunday, which apparently is a busy day for them due to many people eating brunch. They only have a few tables, so they noticed us when we walked in, basically looked us behind the counter as we were a burden. We waited for almost 15 minutes in the table and when I went to ask if we should order at the counter or how it works, the lady got a bit angry at me and said that they are very busy and it will take a long time. I only wanted a milkshake. So we ordered, but ended up leaving before they brought the milkshakes. The place also seemed dirty and scummy, I don't know how they are still up and running.
