Great location and friendly owners. It's a beautiful apartment in a very convenient location. Susana and Filipa were incredibly helpful in arranging a transfer from the airport and meeting us late at night.
The apartment itself is light, clean and beautifully styled. The beds are super soft and snuggly. It's also well suited for babies with a separate bedroom for a child and cot was provided (for an extra fee).
Beautiful views over the Tagus too!
We love the brightness, décor and cental location. We were 4 and there's lots of space and very cosy. There is everything you need from kitchen to bathroom amenities. Very near the hop-on hop off bus, Time-out market and the metro station are just a five/six mins walk. New beds with medium soft mattresses.
Would love to stay there again.
On arrival we were met by Suzana at the apartment who showed us around the apartment and provided us with useful information about the area. The apartment is lovely, bright, airy, clean and very comfortable. It has everything you need and is a lovely place to return to after a busy day sightseeing. nothing was too much trouble for Suzana and her sister who were both on hand should you need help. Lisbon is a lovely city and we spent a very enjoyable and relaxing week their. Although the kitchen is well stocked with utensils etc, we ate out a lot. The food was wonderful!
Would really like to return some time. Have recommended the apartment to family and friends.
Excellent amenities in the apartment even though we didn't use the kitchen, as it was so reasonable to eat out. Perfect location for access to all parts of the city and surroundings as Cais do Sodre station is only a few minutes walk. We travelled to Cascais from there and you can also go to Belem from there. The hop on hop off bus stop is in the corner of the street when u come out of building and turn left. SIt's lovely to walk by the river to Praca do Comercio and then through the arch towards Rossio.
Depending on time of year there could be long queues for everything sonwould advise booking tickets online for as many attractions as possible to buy the Lisboa card. We didn't so can't say how useful it is for the places we visited.
For Sintra get train from Rossio station, goes every 1/4 hour. You can Buy tickets the evening before at the station to beat the queues as the trip isn't covered by the 1 day tourist card travel ticket. We bought tickets at counter as found the ticket machines confusing!
When u get off the train don't queue to get out through barriers near driver. Walk back towards middle of station and exit through those barriers, much quicker and you are nearer to the 434 bus stop. It's opposite the tourist information office. If that is open go in there to buy tickets for Pena palace as there can be a queue at the palace. Buy €5 return ticket for the bus on the bus or from the person at the bus stop before bus arrives. Get off at Pena palace. Bus does a loop around through town first. Wouldn't bother with national palace in sintra itself. There are several palaces and gardens in sintra so pick what interests you.
Getting to Belem (don't go on Monday as all attractions are closed) take 15 tram from right outside the apartment but you could be squished like sardines. Take train from Cais do Sodre station instead or take a taxi to Belem monastery. Don't queue where the tower is if the queue is long. To the left of that as you look at monastery there's another entrance in the middle of the building with the Portuguese flag overhead. Line much quicker and u don't need to buy a ticket for archaeological museum only monastery. Go back to main entrance and show ticket to security guard who is monitoring the queue and pass by the queue to get to entrance. It's free to get into church. Go there after monastery. It's left as you exit.
Walk up to castle in Lisbon and then take the 28 tram from the Praca Del sol as there will be too many tourists taking tram to get to castle. Stay on until the end of the line and then take it back to the city centre again.
If u buy 24 hour tourist travel card, make sure u take the 28 tram that day and take the Gloria funicular and the junta elevator as they are free with the ticket and quite expensive individually.
The booking process was easy and friendly. I booked for about 2 months and am so glad I chose this apartment. The owners/managers are a delight, as is Teresa and the cleaning lady. The location is superb, the flat very light, sunny in the morning nd the view from the living room windows is over the Tejo river: beautiful. Walking up 2 flight of stairs is making me fit...it would be great to have a way to open the building door to visitors from the apratment and not have to walk down, but hey...that is the only point I could mention to be improved! Superb!
We had an amazing few days in Lisbon and the apartment was perfect for us (2 adults and child team aged 9 and 5). The apartment is within walking distance of many of the sights and with good transport links (trams to get around the city and the train from Cais se Sodre to get to the coast).
The apartment had everything we needed and was a great place to relax after a day's sightseeing. The kids loved being able to look out of the window onto the square below and out across the river. There was very little traffic noise despite the central location.
Filipa was extremely helpful and responsive with any queries we had and made us feel really welcome.
This apartment is in an excellent location for site seeing and access to public transport. With very effective double glazing plus air conditioning this central location in the historic centre was all positive.
The apartment was very clean, bright and well appointed with modern styling.
We tend to stay in apartments when abroad and we rated this one very highly.
