“Service has room for improvement but the food is good”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

The food is much better than the average asian restaurant you find in the city, and the menu has a couple of dishes that I had never seen any where else, like the soft crab (I can highly recommend). We ordered a little bit of everything, and it was all excellent. All the deserts we tried were also very good.

We set in the middle of the old industrial printer machine, what I found a cool spot.

The service could just be more efficient.

“true south east asian cusine”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

The Malaysian lady/owner of the Malaca confessed the dishes are all home made, truly, and if you travelled of lived in south east Asia you 'll recognise the taste. 10 years since I left Indonesia I could taste again the Bubur Injin, or black rice pudding, and a great soup with home made Cantonese wonton in a fresh veggie stock....Wouldn't expect to find such a place here....! The place used to be a news papers printing house, tables and kitchen are built between the old machines. Don't miss the great library next door, also built in the same old factory a great architectural discovery!

“Terrific asian food in special place”
Reviewed January 3, 2013

It is known also as Malaca Too. Here we will find asian food cooking fusion which result in a fantastic menu. It is a very special place, I mean the building where the restaurant is now installed was a big printing the machinery stills there.
The staff is also very nice.

“A nice asian surprise inside a former printer”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

To get to Malaca Too you first have to reach the site for LX Factory, which is an old industrial complex turned to huge printing facilities and now a place for arts, design and new world.
The restaurant sits inside one of those printers and tables are set in the middle of the machines, making for a strange but interesting atmosphere.
Food is based on asian fusion food with dishes from several different countries.
I tried the Shrimp Gyozas and the Thai pork which tasted wonderful. Very good also the Egg Plant curry and the green curry.
Service is quick but don't expect a lot of interaction with the foreign waiters. The owner is more attentive and talkative.
Worth the visit if you want to see LX Factory.

“A great night out with a vibrant atmostphere”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

As a visitor to lisbon , I loved Cafe Malaca. They made us feel exceptionally welcome and the food was terrific. I especially enjoyed the home made spring rolls, they were to die for!! We had a great night out and there was a vibrant atmostphere. I heartily recommend.
