“Nice Vegetarian Restaurant”
Reviewed May 26, 2014

Bio Restaurant is a small Vegetarian restaurant in Lisbon. The menu is written in Portuguese but the staff is helpful in translating so this was not really an issue. There are only about 5 items on the menu anyways. They have a few different types of lasagnas. I tried all of them and they were very tasty. They also have a Vegetarian paella. This was nice because it can be difficult to find a veggie paella as most paellas have seafood.

Bio Restaurant serves fresh juices. You can request anything you want and they make your juice to order…fresh as can be.

Overall, the food was very good and juices are refreshing. I recommend trying Bio Restaurant for all of you vegetarians out there.

“Good food and lovely service”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

As a vegetarian, Portugal is in 'interesting' place to visit in terms of food choices. Thankfully the 3 meat eaters I was with were happy to visit a vegan/vegetarian place one night and we landed in Bio.
The waiter was polite and helpful and was happy to serve us a mix of all dishes on the menu so that we could share. The menu is limited (6 main courses) however they were all good and we all enjoyed everything we had.
The desserts were reasonable, but not something I'd rave about. The water was tap water (Hurrah, no wasted plasic when tap water is perfectly fine to drink)
I'd defitiely revisit, although it's more of a cafe type place than a restaurant, definitely not the ambiance for a romantic meal, strip lights and bright colours.
Cheap too, 45 eur (4 people, 2 courses and 2 drinks each)
I think we went to the new branch rather than this one.

“Looking for Vegan restaurant”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

We didn't enjoy the dinner, the food was previously prepared and the microwaves used to warm it. The quality of seitan was not good, neither the water was server in bottle. No vegetables, just some salad. Our unsatisfaction most likely is due to the fact that we are Vegan since Years... The staff is very nice and the price very low.

“Popular, bustling, economical vegetarian”
Reviewed March 11, 2014 via mobile

We arrived as Bio opened at 19.30 (not 19.00 as we had been led to believe) and in half an hour every table was taken. Not surprising, as the friendly waiters were bringing out glasses of a wonderful fresh juice with fruit and vegetable ingredients, and groaning plates of food. The very economical format means a small plate with two different dishes, with rice and well-dressed salad, costs only €6.50, and if you pay a little more you'll have an even more enormous plateful. The cakes were amazing, and the house wine wasn't bad. Recommended!

“My best veggie meal in Lisbon.”
Reviewed March 4, 2014 via mobile

Easy diversion off the Avenue, so pleased we found it. Lovely service & nice simple, clean decor & the food was superb. Choice of 6 veggie dishes & various taster plate style options, perfect for different size appetites & means you can try a bit of everything. Would eat here alot if I was local!!
