We saw so much in half a day. I especially enjoyed our time in Belém. Tania was a fantastic guide. Funny, friendly and knowledgeable. I learned so much about Portugal’s history.

Highly recommended, really enjoyable day. I was a solo traveler in a group of 8; our guide Ricardo was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a well organised trip, starting in Sintra, finishing at Cascais and taking in two other coastal villages along the way. Travel was by minibus/minivan which was comfortable. We set off from central Lisbon at around 8.45-9am and returned just after 6pm.
The only improvement I would suggest to Lisbon Riders is to purchase tickets to Sintra for travelers in advance to avoid the entrance queues. Otherwise it was excellent.

We were lucky to have found Lisbon Riders on our first trip to Portugal in 2016 and had a fantastic time visiting Sintra and Cascais with our guide, Nuno then. It's a day we still talk about even now! So when we decided to return to Lisbon this year, we knew we wanted another great adventure with Lisbon Riders, which once again did not disappoint. For this excursion, Nuno took us on the Arrabida Wine Tour where we visited several wineries and towns in-between. The highlights included a tour of the personal wine cellar at the Fonseca family quinta, an amazing assado lunch at a local spot in Setubal (Nuno picks the BEST places to eat at - places you would never find otherwise), and capped the day off at Quinta de Alcube where the host was gracious, welcoming and incredibly knowledgable... oh and the wine was delicious and yet so inexpensive! We laughed a lot and enjoyed this stop the most. Lisbon Riders does an unbelievable job of creating tours that travelers will love and feel very custom - like you are experiencing something not everyone has the privilege of experiencing. Nuno is charming, personable and incredibly well informed. Take a tour with Lisbon Riders and know that will be a highlight of your time in Portugal!

Our guide Marlena picked us up very near our hotel. Although the pickup was scheduled for 845am she was there 10 minutes early! The van was comfortable and easily sat 7 passengers. Marlena was very informative and gave us a good history lesson as we drove from central Lisbon to Sintra. We stopped at the Palace of Queluz for a brief moment. Not much to see as it was closed at that hour. The trip to Sintra passed easily and we chatted with our group members: a young couple from Ireland, 2 young men from California and a lady from Germany. The weather was rainy and the first parking lot was full. Marlena was able to navigate the crowded conditions, get our tickets and speed us through the line. We would have been lost if we tried to do it ourselves. She gave us insightful commentary as we moved through the palace and focused our attention where appropriate. We left Sintra and traveled along the coast...Cabo da Roca, Estorila and made a stop in Cascais where we had time for a drink and shopping. She had us back promptly at 5pm. We had a delightful day, met new friends and learned a great deal from our guide. I recommend this tour completely.

So glad we booked the 5 hour small group tour of Lisbon. Our guide and driver (Nuno) was excellent, taking us to all the interesting and beautiful view points and explaining to us so much of the history of Lisbon and Portugal. Lisbon is so hilly and spread out that I don’t think we would have been able to pack so much sightseeing in without our guide taking us from place to place. The tour even included a trip to the cafe where they make the best pasteis de nata. I highly recommend this tour especially if you have a limited time to spend in Lisbon.

My wife and I took our 9 month old daughter on a trip to Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos on October 28. Our tour guide Manuel was friendly and knowledgeable. Prior to the tour we told him we had a baby with us. He was kind enough to provide us with a toddler car seat and was attentive to when when we needed breaks to change her diapers or feed her. He also dropped us off directly at our apartment which saved us from having to walk up many hills.

The tour itself was great...the highlights for me were hanging out at the beach and seeing the great waves at Nazare. I also really liked the medieval town of Obidos. It was great to walk in, sample some ginjinha and check out the local book stores.

The one downside to the trip is that the weather can be quite windy depending on the season. It didn't stop us from going but we would've been more comfortable if it were a few degrees warmer.

By coincidence, there was only girls on this day. We had a lot of fun! Katarina is a great guide. I was very happy with her stories and beautiful landscapes around us.

T was with 7 passengers. Everything was going well until we arrived at Pena Palace. The parking lot at the top of the hill was filled so the van went to the bottom ( way on the bottom) of the hill. We are in our 70s and were prepared for climbing the significant stairs in the Palace - but because we passed the entrance to the Palace and went way down past it - we were led through the woods up a washed our terraced stairway - with some stairs 20 inches high, slippery and no railing. The guide tried valiantly to help - but this was quite the challenge. Apparently the Palace tries to not let buses unload at the entrance - but this was really stupid! Again, the guide tried - but the real solution would have been to let us off at the top parking lot. Otherwise the tour was very pleasant - a number of stops at the beach area, Cascais and lots of sights. All the members of the tour were really nice and helpful. Some really nice folks. Had great pizza at Cascais when we stopped for lunch,

My husband and I were on a cruise that called in at Lisbon. After reviewing the cruise offerings we opted for private tour recommended by our travel agency. We were thrilled with it. In fact it was the best excursion of the cruise. Manuel was our driver and guide. He first asked what we were interested in and then proceeded to give an historically chronological guided tour of the city. In addition he took us to lunch at a place frequented by working people down by the ferry terminal on the "opposite" side of the river. It was wonderful. I felt like I was one of Manuel's aunt visiting from out of town, it was that personal. The cost is a little more than a group tour but the experience was priceless. I highly recommend it.

Got picked up at 8:45am, then visited Pena Palace, city of Sintra, a viewing spot on the coast, Cabo de Roca and Cascais. Had enough time to explore the Pena Palace and take lots of pictures. In Sintra we had a 1h lunch break and the chance to try some delicious pastries. In Cascais we got another break of 1h to explore this little seaside town. Got back around 6pm.
Really liked getting out of the city to explore the surrounding area. Portugsl is so beautiful! Our guide Miguel was very informative and always ensured we had enough time to take pictures etc. We had such a good time and enjoyed seeing the places outside of Lisbon.
Note: Pena Palace was super busy. If you visit in the summer, go early morning.
