Description: Andalusian Cuisine in Travessa do Alecrim. On your way from the Chiado hill to Cais do Sodre, you'll find Meson Andaluz in a restaured seventeenth-century building with brick arcades, where the tapas are the star. The list of wines includes Spanish and Portuguese names, and the new list, Iberian and with some new names in it stands out for its quality and modernity, without losing the essence of the traditional flavors. Be it on our terrace or in the interior lighted by a small light, the atmosphere invites a degustation of a tapas, raciones and charcuterie's festival.

I visited Meson Andaluz it was still located in Parede, around 20km from Lisbon. Later, I visited it again in Cascaishopping. Now, you may find it in Lisbon. At Meson, I prefer tapas and a good red wine, as when the main dishes come in, I am already full. Anyway, if you restrain yourself a bit and you are able to skip the appetizers (you can have an full meal only with it), you can taste the best paella in town, and don't forget dozens of proposals in the menu, they are all good. Just bet you hold on and have a 10km walk afterwards. You may have desserts (and they are exquisite) be ready for another 5km.

I went there twice on my 5 days journey in lisbon. Both times I was really satisfied with the food.Nice ambience and romantic setting inside, cosy and casual outside. It is a really busy place so expect to be patient a bit, but the employees try their best with a smile, especially the girl who does PR,was very charming and helpful,I believe her name was Maria.Prices are reasonable comparing to other tapas places.Highly recomended!

We wanted something close to our hotel (LX Boutique) and after research on TripAdvisor we picked this restaurant, We were not disappointed. The food was great - highlighted by the paella EVER - professionally served at the table.

We found this place by accident looking for somewhere to have a meal off the tourist trail. It was a beautiful evening and we sat outside on the the terrace.
We had a selection of tapas and a bottle of house wine. The food was excellent as was the wine. The waiter was very helpful but the service altogether was slow. We were waiting for a long time to order. We then waited for the wine and water to arrive for another 20 minutes. But the food and wine made up for it.

They do have a very nice terrace and the interior is very cosy and comfortable. The service is somehow a bit cold and at the limit of being quite unfriendly (waitress). The food itself is original, different and of very good quality and taste. If it would just be for the served food itself I would recommend the place, but the all-around is completely overpriced, such as for service, wine and specially for the special coffee they offer and which is one of worth one I had so far in Lisbon. Of course this may be a matter of taste! It is a shame, but we will not return as it is definitely a tourist place having lost the view of quality-price-service relation.
