In the crowded resturadores area packed with resturants, this little place is good value for your money. Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, an good food. Recomend the juicy lamb chops.

Full meal with drinks and deserts for 35 euro in the lovley Lisbon streets is bound to put a smile on your sin burnt face :D

The only good thing about this restaurant was the soup. My chicken was too thick, french fries had a gummy taste, and my friend couldn't even eat her fish which was old and smelled weird. We didn't even stay for the dessert. Prices are reasonable, but do not believe them when they say this is original Portuguese cuisine, I mean, do you really except this from a place with the name "Ciao, Milano"?

Having 'walked the walk' of this street of restaurants, we opted for Ciao Milano and we were not disappointed! We declined the bread, olives etc and shared starters of Calamari Frito and a tomato salad - both of which were excellent. Followed by a very tasty, cheesy prawn penne and some really tasty lamb cutlets with the usual accompaniments of chips and salad, but could have had potatoes and veg if wanted.
Some fresh succulent melon and a litre of house wine (quite reasonable) rounded off a very satisfying meal for just over 50€ for two.
Well recommended, but we did opt for Italian, not local Portuguese.

Ciao Milano was pleasant. Most of us ate from the Italian menu, but one had codfish. Service was fine, the waiters all spoke English, and the price was reasonable. Luckily we had been warned that in Portugal when the wait staff put bread, butter, cheese, olives etc on the table, it is not complimentary! The restaurant is in a small street filled with restaurants with people out touting for business. A bit off putting, but at least there are plenty of choices. We may go back to that street,on one of our nights here as it is a short taxi ride from our hotel

In Lisbon it is hard to find open local restaurants or cantinhas after 8 PM. If you are, you have only the option to eat in tourist traps. We had dinner kast night, 2 soups, 2 bachalou pastes, one glass of cheap whitw wine and 2 little glasses of beer costed 26 ?. There was water added to wine, it was the worst I have ever had. But as I sad, it was open at 9 o'clock, sometimes you don't have options.
