Passport Lisbon Hostel

Clean, basic, central - best value for one's money. We had a room (nr. 403) with a view over the Tague, on walking distance from everything: luxury shops downtown, nostalgic alleys in Alfama, best bars in town literally around the corner in Bairro Alto. The staff was as helpfull as one would wish, and the shared bathroom was always clean. If you're considering going to Lisbon for a short holiday, please go, as the city is fantastic - and in that case Passport Hostel is the perfect hide out. Our stay in the Portuguese capital was the blue print of an excellent city trip, and this hostel played a crucial part in that!

Room Tip: We had room 403 with a view over the Tague river...!

The hostel is very centrally located and is a stone's throw away from then center and the main attraction. Rooms can be small and packed. Mine was a 6-bed room with the receptrion at the back, the TV room beside and a window overlooking a noisy square. Prices are ok and in line with other hostels around.

tnks for the fun and lovely stay (-:

Room Tip: choose the one with the private shower& toilet in the room...

My boyfriend and I never went to a hostel, so this was our first experience. When we arrived and standing at the door we where surprised because we thought we where at the wrong place, but when we went up with the elevator to the top floors we arrived in the hostel which was nice and modern in a sort of design/eco style. The room was big enough, the bed compared to a real hotel bed not the best but good enough to have a nice sleep. It was a quit and clean room and everyday we got fresh towels and they cleaned it. The room was also perfect to surprise my boyfriend with his birthday. The reason we went to Lisbon was to celebrate his birthday and Vera from the Passport Hostel did the best job in the world to make my boyfriends birthday the best he ever had :) We will never forget it! A few weeks before we went to Lisbon I asked Vera from the Passport Hostel to help me arrange a surprise breakfast in bed and (as you can see on the pictures) she created the biggest and best breakfast in bed we ever had. It was sooo great! Thank you Vera, for your real hospitality and also all your collegueas are so nice and helpfull. We really recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Lisbon budget friendly but also in a clean, nice and friendly environment on a perfect location in Lisbon. Tram 28 for example stops right in front of the door :).

Room Tip: We had room 502, which was perfect.

Location of Passport hostel is really good, specially if you like 'night life' because famouse bars and restorants are 2-3 minutes on foot...taxi is 200 metres away, metro station is very close...lot of shops, bar, restaurants, everything is very close...First impresion of Passport hostel not was so good, because it is a building with appartmanst (left and right), lift is small, enterior of building is awfull, but when you got your key and enter in your room impression was changed...design is very modern and interesting, old building renovated on inventive way...all those young people who worked at the recepcion were very polite, nice and helpfull. Lady who was with us on breakfast was so quite, but helpful...Wi-fi is excellent in room, or living room shared with other 2-3 rooms. I really enjoy in Passport hostel

Room Tip: Ask for a room with door on toilet, we forgot :(

Perfect location, great people and the price is even better! The rooms are good, loved the decoration and the bathrooms were clean and with hot water. I highly recommend this hostel. The breakfast is just what you need to start the day and right next to the hostel there's a great bakery to have a good lunch or snack during the afternoon. It's right next to the Bairro Alto, where the nights are always fun! You only take 3 minutes to the Armazéns do Chiado and 5 min to get to Rossio/Rua Augusta/Rua do Ouro. Perfect!
