We greatly enjoyed staying at the Teatro B&B in Lisbon. We went there on the strength of others' reviews and we were not disappointed. Centrally located for Lisbon's principal sights but in a comparatively quiet spot, the rooms were tastefully decorated and clean, the bedding comfortable and although the room was a little compact, the designers have done a good job in making everything fit in well. Two things that stood out for us: the welcome and hospitality of all staff and the breakfasts. Both were first rate and made staying there quite a treat. We would stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed at this lovely B&B last weekend and were very impressed. The location is unbeatable - a short walk from anywhere you'd want to be, in a pretty and relatively quiet square. Also only 2-3 minutes' walk from the nearest tram or metro. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful - booking restaurants and suggesting modes of transport. This made it feel more like a small hotel than just a B&B. Our room was small - not recommended for more than two nights, or for people who don't know each other very well! But it had been nicely and recently decorated, with a very comfortable bed, good shower, and all very clean. A highlight was the breakfast which is a real bonus - delicious coffee brought to your table, fresh fruit salad, a great selection of cakes and pastries, cooked breakfast, and of course, pastel de nata...

Room Tip: It might be worth asking about the size of room that you're booking if you plan to spend much ti...

We were in room 32 on the third floor. The room is rather small but well designed and clear with plenty of ranging space. The breakfast is diversified (plenty of different Portuguese pastries, fruits, quiche, eggs....) and good. Service both at breakfast and at reception is friendly and efficient.
Location is ideal close to the Barrio Alto, Chiado, Baixa and Lapa with their cafe, restaurants and shops.

I stayed in this hotel during New Years and truly enjoyed it. Our room was beautiful, the location was great, overall I was keen to recommend it to all my friends. However on checking out they asked us if we had anything from the mini bar. We told them that we took a bottle of water the night before and they had noted other drinks from the previous nights which was correct. We confirmed all of this and then they said that there was also a coffee and a beer allocated to our room. We did not have these and said so. The receptionist then said she would have to check with her manager and did so. When she came back she confirmed that the manager said because it was assigned to our room then we must have had the drinks so we would have to pay. Myself and my husband replied that we did not take these, we had told them about the bottle of water the previous night and why would we deny these items??? She then checked again and it seemed that these were from the previous guests but I was made feel as if we were being dishonest in the first place. They did apologise but I was disappointed at this stage and the wonderful opinions I had of this hotel were gone. Surely they could create a better system for monitoring the mini bar in 2013! All in all it is a great hotel but be wary on checking out - you might be accused of taking drinks you did not consume and expected to pay for these!

We spent six nights in this delightful boutique hotel in Lisbon. The location is unbeatable, between Chiado and Barrio Alto (fantastic for sightseeing, shopping, night-life, etc.) and less then 100 meters away from the metro. Our room was small, but cleverly designyed, so it did not feel cramped but cosy and welcoming. However there are some quirky features that might not appeal everyone. For instance the bathroom is enclosed in transparent walls, and some features (like the tea and coffee facility or the clothes hangers) are not within easy reach for short people... anyhow we loved it! Each room is slightly different with individual décor. The breakfast is superb and the service attentive. A small sparkling gem!

For couples or single travellers this hotel is magnificent. It's very boutique and beautifully furnished with truly superb staff. It's a quirky place with excellent sumptuous beds and lovely crisp linen, which is a must in any hotel. The breakfast is incredible and the hotels location perfect. All in all one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in.
