Had an absolute ball in this hostel. The staff were very welcoming! We arrived to free soup being served and then invited out to go see a staff member sing the next morning we were served rolls and waffles!! (YUM!)!!! It was such good craic, met some really down to earth people.

The location is ideal and close to many interesting spots and sights, its also really close to many modes of transpoprt to help with adventuring!! The facilities in the hostel are all of high standard and nicely laid out. Really quirky style and comfortable space to just chill and relax. I would highly reccommend this hostel, and especially and a big thank you to all the guys and gals working there for all the laughs we had, really enjoyed our stay...hope to see ye all again soon!

Clean, welcoming, well-located - Goodmorning is the ideal hostel. The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The shared facilities are spacious, well-kept and stylish. There's no problem getting in the showers, which are clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent, convenient for the Bairro Alto, Alfama and Chiado. It is right next to a Metro station, so it's easy to get here from the airport, and the railway station across the road has regular trains to Sintra. There's a reasonable breakfast included in the price, plus a meal of vegetable soup in the evening. You really need a good reason not to stay here if you're visiting Lisbon on a budget.

My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights (March 27 - 28 2013). We arrived late and there was a friendly face to welcome us and get us settled in. There was an issue with our reservation and therefore we were put in a double room with no bathroom, however, we were able to sleep in and change rooms the next morning. I loved the layout of the kitchen which forces good conversation over waffles and coffee. I've seriously never met such kind and helpful people. Both rooms we stayed in were comfortable and offered a great view of the square. It is extremely convenient to the rail station which is why we picked it. We had a very easy transition to the train to Sintra when we left (Starbucks inside). They offered great suggestions for sites to see and places to eat. Highly recommend.

Room Tip: If you don't mind sharing a bathroom, it's no problem as the bathrooms were clean and access...

When I arrived to the hostel I was welcomed by a a smiling member of the staff. The check in was fast. I had a short tour of the hostel and then I saw my room. Clean with a beautiful view on the rooftops of the Lisbon houses and with a very comfortable room. The beathroom was also very clean and - what's more important - with good mirrors (also the special ones for make up ;) ). There was a hair dryier also!
In the morning another member of the staff prepared me AMAZING waffels :D the smell was so good that I couldn't resist them!
The tv room has couches so comfortable that it is almost imposibble not to sleep in it ;)
Overall:
Room - 100% good
Staff - 100% good
Hostel - 100% good
Breakfast - 100%
There is nothing that I didn't like about my trip and stay at the Good Morning Hostel in Lisbon!

I have been to a lot of hostels in Europe but I think this is the best I’ve ever been. The quality of the service is higher than that of a simple hostel. And it’s also cheap.
It’s located in a very central zone. In the same square there are the Hard Rock Café, the Tourist Information Office and the Metro Station of Restauradores. Moreover the Railway Station of Rossio (where you can catch the train to reach Sintra) is very near. Just a few steps from the hostel there is also a supermarket where you can buy all you need.
The toilet is always clean and provide facilities as the hairdryer.
The best thing in the bedroom is that each bed has a little shelf, a light and a socket. There are also lockers to put your valuable items. In this way you can feel safe. I think it’s not so simple to find all these facilities in a hostel.
The atmosphere is very friendly. All the staff is fantastic. All are very helpful and friendly. They are all so kind, make you feel as an old friend and always try to help you in every way they can: giving you information, suggesting activities to spend in a good way your time in Lisbon, creating occasions to make you socialize with the others, calling you a taxi, preparing the breakfast for you also very early in the morning. They make you feel comfortable.
About the breakfast, every morning I was looking forward to eating the waffles just done. They were special. It was a great breakfast. They know how to make you feel at home.
For all these reasons, I recommend this hostel to everyone.
I wish all the hostels were like this one. I already miss this place. I hope to come back there again.

i was very pleasantly surprised by this hostel, i booked for a cheap nights sleep, and found a really warm welcome, very clean, the staff were like old friends, extremely welcoming, and good English speaking, i was given an evening meal, asked to join the staff for a drink of ginja, as i had just arrived, then the following morning, as much as i could eat breakfast, the rooms are all clean, warm and comfortable, a nice lounge , with a communal sofa, tv room, computers. i decided to stay a second night, so i could have a look at lisbon, it was situated in the theatre area of lisbon. i highly recommend staying here, if you are looking for a cheap stay in Lisbon

The only negative, is that there are quite a few beggars in the area, and as with many European cities, the government seem to have allowed alot of non EU immigrants into the city, mainly North Africans, who are openly drug dealing as a usual thing in the area, however a local told me, they are not real drugs they are trying to sell. i watched a policeman just take the imitation cannibis and coke from one guy and let him go, a few minutes later he was restocked and back out on the street. although not a big problem for me, i think it might intimidate tourists.

Room Tip: take ear plugs, as hostels are for sharing with strangers
