“Perfect...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

The natural taste of the fruits in Santini's ice cream is the first impression you get since the first bite. The taste is perfect and the choice is extensive! The portions are generous too.
I would definitely recommend Santini to everyone who passes in Libon!

“Don't miss it. The best ice cream in Portugal.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2013 via mobile

Must go for an ice cream. If you wait in the line you won't regret. The basic MORANGO/NATA is superlative. All the fruit ones are great and taste like fruit - make no mistake, this is genuine fruit ice cream, nothing to do with the usual "junk and manipulated food and flavors". Just get one and go for a walk, enjoy the views of Cascais or Lisbon... you will see it with a sweeter perspective ;-)

“Below expectations”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2013 via mobile

This place was recommended by our guide so we tried it and it was below expectations. Although the fruit flavors taste very natural, the overall taste is average. Nothing special about this place.

“Artisan gelato since 1949”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

Very delicious gelato. Worth a stop if you are in Lisbon! There were many different flavors and we tried many. None disappointed.
In 1949 an Italian, Attilio Santini, opened a gelato store in Estoril, a beach near Lisbon. There was a tradition of gelato making in his family; his great grandfather had a gelato store in Vienna. Santini’s approach was simple: make the gelato fresh every day using only the very best cream and fruit.

“Not really impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2013

We had heard good stuff about this place, but were disappointed. After having trawled Rome for great gelatarias in the past, this was rather dull and watery gelato. Visit Amorino instead (just around the corner on Rua Garrett from Santini's Chiado location).
