“The best asset of this hotel is a great staff”
Reviewed April 16, 2013

Brand new trendy hotel. To start with good things, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and nice. As there were not so many people in the hotel, we probably got a special attention. The room was not quite a 5 star for us. We had deluxe large double room and it was small. They have tried to camouflage it with the open planning concept which means that shower is in the middle of the room in glass box (be careful at night not to bounce into it) and all grooming is also taking place in the room. Shower therefore can be used as an entertainment feature:) So you better travel with somebody you know or you would like to get to know very well because after that stay there are no secrets;) Interior was the same prefabricated standard box that you see these days in so many new hotels. We also missed the place where we could sit and drink wine or eat dinner (room service food was very good). On the more positive side, the bed and the blackout curtains were great. We also used the spa. It had a great view. Steam sauna could use much more steam though. Some tips on arrival and departure. If you are worried about being ripped off by taxi drivers and you have a light luggage, you can take the subway which would be only 2-3 stops. From Moscavide station hotel is visible so you cant get lost there. It is about 10-15 minute walk. Oriente station is nicer and I would favor that at nighttime because of the neighborhood. Just walk towards the park and river. We took the taxi back from the hotel to the Airport and it was 17.50 euros. Keep also in mind that those 2 stations are you best access to town and it can take around 40 minutes by metro to reach the center. The hotel`s neighborhood is lovely for jogging and walking but there is not so much to do there. There are plenty of restaurants in the park but nothing good. If you main purpose is to discover Lisbon and its restaurants and nightlife and maybe also visit Sintra and Cascais (highly recommended) then it would be much more sensible to stay somewhere in town.

With a modern and sofisticated design the Myriad hotel is one of the fanciest hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, with a great river view and an awesome room light. The restaurant served us a good meal too. Overall a great place to stay.

We booked this hotel for a quick layover in Lisbon before heading back home early the next morning. We had originally booked the Holiday Inn Express since we felt like we just needed a bed overnight, but decided to switch to something supposedly nicer and that could offer a massage. The prior week we spent a week in Lisbon at the Four Seasons and loved it - fantastic hotel, even though we've stayed in about 20 of them.

We arrived from Seville at nearly 4pm and were told our room was not ready - even though they publish that check-in can happen at 2pm. This was a huge disappointment, and completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be five stars. At most other five star hotels you can check in whenever, even at 8am, and somehow they manage the room inventory to accommodate this. Not the Sana Myriad, apparently.

So we're hanging out in the lobby for over an hour, and luckily both of us could fit in massages at the Myriad spa. This was the highlight. The massages were excellent, especially the one I had with Sara. Highly recommended. The spa facilities are average, nothing special except for a great view. Showers were hard to figure out, lockers didn't have handles so were hard to open, doors left open to the changing rooms so privacy was lacking, waiting area shared with the pool so crowded. But the massage itself made up for all that.

This is one of those uber-trendy hotels with bright red furnishings, stark aluminum and glass, and quite honestly, mostly cheap materials. Plastic chairs in the lounge, smallish rooms, bizarre glass shower (all four walls!) in the middle of the room. Hope you don't plan on sharing a room with kids or platonic acquaintances! The view from the room of the longest bridge in Europe is spectacular though.

We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was pretty good. Actually the food and wine was excellent, as was the waiter. But again we were sitting on plastic chairs with what looked like a cheap table (supposedly trendy), staring through windows in stark aluminum frames. The live music was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation.

I guess the bottom line is that this hotel is like a W Hotel on steroids, but without the high quality materials. Perhaps a W Hotel on a Best Western platform, plopped in a beautiful location, with a staff that really does try hard - although they couldn't have a room available for us on time. Sorry, just not our style. Perhaps it is for some people.

Really lovely hotel , shame we got duped first day by a dishonest taxi driver who charged 85 euro for a pick up from the airport and drop at sintra. Should have been 40 euro!!!! Beware if picked up at the airport by a taxi driver offering to act as a tourist guide and always ask for a receipt. Anyway, back to the hotel- it's lovely and the facilities ( spa, gym, pool, sauna) are fantastic. The architect & interior decorator paid attention to detail and it shows , the staff are also accommodating with a scrumptious breakfast to go. Highly recommended.
Hope to be back again soon by Gods grace.

Room Tip: Room at top level gives excellent view

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff. Will defiantly stay again. Room service and breakfast facilities more than adequate. Spa facilities looked amazing but sadly didn't have time to use. Gym open 24/7.

Front of house staff exceptionally welcoming and remembered my name every time they saw me.

Room Tip: The high the better, we stayed on the 15th floor, be sure to ask for a view of the bridge.

This hotel is brand new, bold architecture in a stunning location on the riverbank. Beautiful view from beautiful rooms, great food and excellent service with a friendly smile. The location is in the redeveloped waterfront which looks much like the modern Barcelona waterfront but less touristy. Close to the train station and Vasco da Gama Mall, the Oceanarium and only a few taxi- or metro minutes away from downtown. Also connected to a new shiny conference facility building. Not cheap but worth the money. Spa on the top floor with the best view.
