Great food, very reasonable price, very good service. Food taste like home-cooked meals, wonderful stop after a visit at the Alfama neighborhood!

We picked the place based on TripAdvisor info, when looking for a place to have a dinner for the three of us. We were very pleased with what we experienced, food was good and the service making us feel that the staff appreciated us being there. One of us was a vegetarian and got plenty of recommendations to choose, like we all did. My "black sausage salad" portion could have been enough for me but I had ordered ravioli as my main course - tasty with plenty of olive oil. No room for desert and we left the place with very pleased feelings. With the aperitifs and the bottle of house red wine (a very satisfactory solution) this all was only 65€.

We were looking for a nice, but not too pricey restaurant in Lisbon, and stumbled (through Tripadvisor) upon this establishment. Upon entering we immediately noticed the cosiness of it. One side of the room had a nice Chesterfield couch, and there was a lot of artwork on the walls. We sat down, and we were immediately serviced by (I assume) the owner. He was very friendly, and was very helpful by recommending some of his favourite dishes.
Ultimately we chose the "morcela", recommended by him, as the starter. Appearently morcela is a kind of blood sausage, which is normally not quite "haute cuisine", but they managed to make it to be almost that. The salad that went with it was great: fresh ingredients, and a lovely dressing.
Our main course was the salmon filled ravioli. Again, ravioli isn't considered very top-notch, but this was very good. The sauce (ricotta-based) was so good we asked for a spoon so we could eat it all.
With the first course we went for a red wine (the house wine), which tasted surprisingly well. We ordered a bottle of white house wine for our main course, which was a Portuguese one. According to the waiter, it was from a vinyard less than 50 kilometers away. It tasted very nice, and it fitted well with the dish.
Afterwards, we had a coffee and a digestif, an almond liqueur, which was recommended by two other guests. In the end, it cost us €46,-. This is a very fair price, considered the quality of the food. What positively surprised us is that they only billed the starter once, while we both ate it and they gave us both a plate. I'm sure they did this on purpose, and we were genuinely pleased with that.
Another important part of the whole experience is the service. The owner is very friendly, and you can see he really likes good food. His recommendations seemed to come from his liking the food, instead of commercial reasons.
The waiter (there was only one, as far as I can tell), was very friendly and very funny. We were astonished by the fact that this obviously Portuguese man spoke fluent German with the German guests and fluent French with French guests (he couldn't speak Dutch though, unfortunately). We had some very friendly and funny conversations with him about anything. A very likeable person.

All in all a highly recommended restaurant.
