Lisbon was our last stop of our trip through Portugal and we are so glad to have found this beautiful guesthouse with these friendly hosts.

Every room has a different character and design. We had one with a bath tub inside, very special and luxurious. :)

The breakfast was the best, rich and healthy!

The house is located in a quite part of the center near by the Museu da Água. In June all the trees in the area were in full bloom and the fruity smell always welcomed us back from our trip in the city.

From this point its not far to reach all places of interest. We can really recommend it! It seems to be like a wonderful pearl in the city.

We stayed at Casa Amora for three days, one day longer than we planned for, because it was a really lovely place in an great area. We had some great nights in the park (around the corner), and even better morning with the best breakfasts ever.
We can recommend this place for everybody who wants to have a relaxed stay in Lisbon!

Amazing house in a typical Portuguese "Palazzo borghese". Everything is extremely comfortable and let you feel like at home. The rooms are very clean and curate in details. Genuine breakfast with freshly baked salted and sweet cakes and fresh watermelon (or other) juice (I have never had such a delicious one!). Very good location at 2 minutes walking from the metro. Perfect for a romantic weekend but also for everyone who like something cosy! :)
Strongly recommended!

style, hospitality, cleanness, delicious breakfast - the greatest assets of the place, though, are the owner Luis who was there most of the time, responding to the needs of his guests, as well as that wonderful backyard where breakfast is being served - a quiet oasis that keeps you dwelling there for hours before you finally decide to take the plunge in the buzz of the city. Our room was spacious and with a private balcony while the hotel overlooks to the beautiful square "Plaça dos Amoreiras" that stretches along the arcs of the Aqueduct.

Feeling that I had all along was that I arrived at my friends house to visit. You are totally undamaged from that cold hotel feeling. There are only 5 rooms in this hotel, and they are all very stylish and very personal, so you feel very special waking up every morning in that environment. Believe me, if you were decorating your room back home, you wouldn't do it with so much attention to the details. Really you feel like you're home. Very stylish and comfortable home.
Hosts are very friendly about what to visit and where to eat, keeping in mind your own interest and priorities. Personnel is very pleasant and breakfast is great.
I love the most fresh made juices an pies. Homemade. But the idea is to feel right at home, right? When you finish that delicious breakfast you can walk to almost any destination as most of the things are in a walk distance. Or you can take a metro or cab as everything is just in front of your house. But not to worry, hotel is situated in a very small street so you will have no problem with street noise.
Also, wireless is available, which was very handy to us as we had to finish some work there as well. And to all the gadget lovers, I just adored iPhone docking device, where I could listen to Fado every morning.
I have no idea what more you could wish for...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Casa Amora is a typical building of Lisbon’s early twentieth century petite bourgeoisie, renovated in 2012, with a small outdoor patio for rest or meals and 5 bedrooms (all with bathroom). Each room pays homage to one of the great figures of Portuguese art (painting, music, literature, film) of the last century. The process of renewal and adaptation carefully kept all the decorative elements existing in the rooms (plaster) and exterior (tiles, balcony), introducing a color palette that contributes to a peaceful and relaxing environment. Casa Amora is located in one of the nicest and most central districts of Lisbon, Praça das Amoreiras. In this neighborhood, where the 18th century Aqueduct (that survived the great Lisbon earthquake of 1755) reaches and end, Casa Amora is neighbor to Water Museum (Museu da Mae de Agua) and the Vieira da Silva / Arpad Szenes museum. Residents and visitors have easy and direct access to the neighborhoods of antique shops (Rua de Sao Bento and Rua da Escola Politecnica), historic districts (Bairro Alto and Chiado), Avenida da Liberdade and its fashion shops as well as the shopping center Amoreiras, all at walking distance. ... more   less
