I stayed in 2 hotels in Lisbon and though the other was rated higher than this one, I thought this one was much nicer. Rooms were bigger and better designed. They had better coffee with breakfast. The bathroom was larger and better designed. The location was a bit further from the main drag but not much. The TV worked and the internet was free and actually worked.

Good hotel, good service, nice bathroom, everything clean. Not that cheap without breakfast. Fitness small, turkish steambath did not work.
What we really missed is a complementary coffee/thee set. There is not even a electrical water boiler which is a miss for such a hotel

The room was big and the beds comfortable. The bathroom has a clever design for privacy if the room is shared. The basin area is well lit. The rooms and common areas have a very modern design, but I found it cold, clinical and lacking in character. Breakfast was average.

Modern hotel, good quiet position, secure (pay) carparking in the basement
.....and it is just a short stroll from everything.

Pedro, Andreia, and the restaurant manager are the best hotel staff I have ever encountered.

Will stay there again !

The hotel has a good location near Marques de Pombal, but in a quiet street. Rooms are very modern. Breakfast is very good. But it is more or less just a breakfast hotel, although there is a lobby bar that opens in th afternoon. Available food in the afternoon was the only thing i missed.

We were delighted by our room...very spacious, clean and very modern. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel was a hidden from the main street and we felt very safe. It was a bit of a walk to some of the more touristy areas...but was very near Edward VII Park..which has an incredible view of the city. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay!

We booked this hotel when it was still part of the AC chain, but the booking was transferred across no problem. We were emailed by the hotel manager to confirm, & were upgraded to a third floor room with balcony.

The hotel still looks like like most others in the AC chain, so this is a good thing. All the reception staff were very attentive, friendly & professional. The front desk is manned 24 hours, and the entrance doors were locked during the nighttime. After 12, you have to be let in by desk staff, so security is good.

The rooms were a decent size & very comfortable. Large flatscreen tv with lots of English speaking channels, including some movie channels. Air con unit worked well & was quiet (27 degrees outside so was needed). Bathroom was nice & large, with good power shower. Basic toiletries provided, but bathrobes & slippers no longer are. The hair dryer was very powerful. Plenty of clean towels etc. The overall furnishings remain modern dark woods, with low level lightings, cream colours around the room - just like all the other AC hotels at which we've stayed. The cleaners did their part in keeping the whole place looking spotless.

Unfortunately the hotel does not provide the free soft drink mini bar which the AC did, nor do the rooms have a safe. However, the free in room wifi service was excellent - not once did it cut out.

The breakfast was enjoyable - lots of fresh pastries, breads, fruit, cheeses, juices, cereals - and some bacon & scrambled eggs. English teas & decent coffee machines. The breakfast area is huge for the size of the hotel - it could probably sit half the customers at once, so waiting for a table won't be a problem - & is well attended by polite staff.

The gym is very basic - some dumbbells up to 10kg, a basic multi purpose resistance machine, 1 treadmill & 2 bikes. It's hidden away on the first floor, but does provide free bottles of water & extra towels.

The hotel is in a very good location, but it's quite awkward to find when you first arrive - the nearest metro stop is probably Parque. Come out, turn right, walk downhill til the end of the road, look left to where the Virgin Active Gym is. It's next door to it, but you have to go down the stairs or walk around in a big circle to come to it.

It is really close to Pombal & King Edward VII Park - the park has a great cafe sat up on the hill owned by a really nice old Dutch guy - we would call in every day on the way back to the hotel after sightseeing for a cold beer - highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay here - it would have been 5 stars except for not getting the little things we were expecting when we booked - the robe, slippers, soft drinks etc - but in fairness, it's no longer an AC, & the EXE doesn't provide these sundries. Having said that, if we return to Lisbon, we would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: Third floor rooms overlooking the street have balconies. Those overlooking the courtyard don't.
