We went here on a boys weekend. There was 7 of us and none of us are particularly demanding.
From the airport:
We got a big cab from the airport to accommodate all of us and it ended up costing us over €25. Getting two separate cabs is by far the cheaper option. Each regular cab will cost around €7/8. The hotel is not too far from the airport. And cabs are a plenty at the airport.
The hotel is very nice looking but the location is a distance from anywhere nice that's within walking distance. A few restaurants close by with some cafes but that's it. We didn't eat at the hotel. There is a breakfast buffet you can choose to purchase for something like €16 but this is expensive. You can get a perfectly good breakfast at one of the local cafes or restaurants.
The hotel is not a 5 star but a very solid 4. Unfortunately, you have to pay an extra €20 to use their steam/sauna facilities which is, quite frankly, a rip off. This wasn't anywhere visible on their website nor anywhere else. It may be on there but I didn't see it. Also, they insist you cover your hair to use the pool. To purchase a swimming cap is another €4. Again, it just screams of trying to rip off your guests. Even though their website has a pic of a woman swimming with her relaxed locks of hair out, you will not be able to do this. All a bit tacky for what's supposed to be a 5 star hotel.
Also, one of our rooms was supposed to be for 3 people. We found out that the room was just a double room with an extra fold out bed squeezed into the corner. They clearly don't have rooms made for 3. When we arrived the room we were allocated was still a mess but to their credit, as soon as we raised this they moved us to another room.
The hotel has a nice bar and outside area which was glorious in the Portugal sun and very good wifi. So no complaints there.
Other than some of the minor issues above, the hotel was actually quite nice. There's a safe and mini bar in the rooms as well as robes and slippers.
Lisbon itself is lovely though a huge amount of graffiti everywhere which is such a shame. We went to an Indian restaurant which was fantastic. I think it was called ghandis palace. If you get the chance, go.
