“Really cool, quirky bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012 via mobile

Great bar with lots of very interesting features and a pool table to top it off! Lovely cocktails also. The staff could have been friendlier but the bar is the real draw. Recommended!

“A normal bar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2012

A nice place to drink after a dinner at bairro alto. Nothing special only the location. Very old working since a lot of years . Is expensive compared with others in the area

“Don't miss this, well worth the price of a drink”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

What an amazing place! Stuffed with all sorts of bric a brac, toy soldiers, military helmets, wonderful china basin in the Ladies. Great place to hang out and relax, or gawp and take photos. We went a couple of times for an after dinner drink, which suited everyone, as you can have anything from tea or coffee to beer or a cocktail. Saturday night we had to knock to be let in, Sunday closed, Monday quiet and the door was open. I also had the best coffee with milk here - lots of strong coffee, a big jug of hot milk for you to add your own, served in a porcelain cup. Drinks are a little less than double the standard price, but worth it for the amazing decor.

“Totally unbelievable place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

When you drive up to this bar, you could never imagine what awaits you within. It has to be the most unusual bar I have ever seen. It was recommended to us after dinner, so we only had drinks there. We spent hours just trying to take in all the collectables - what an amazing collection.

“No chinese in this chinese bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

the chinese pavillion is a bit of a mis-nomer as this private club bar is packed full of dolls, second world war memorabilia and a host of other items tightly packed into every crevice on every wall and hanging from every inch of ceiling space. A joy to browse with drink in hand.......
