“Good Seafood, GO Early”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a go. This place fills up fast with people as many other reviewers have noted, so go early if you don't want to wait. We arrived before 7PM on a weekday night, there was quite a few tables available. But 30 minutes later, the place was packed! The wait was out the door when we finished dinner. The seafood here is great and fresh. We had the barnacles, crab, garlic shrimp, and oysters. I will say that if you live near (for visiting tourists) places that you could get fresh seafood already (e.g. fresh crab), this place wouldn't be that spectacular. Overall, the food is good and service is fast.

“Fish, fish, fish”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

The best fish restaurant in Lisbon! You'll be eating with tourists and locals. You must get there early, as by 8pm the queue is out of the door (I don't think they accept reservations). The garlic shrimps were my favourite, my wife loved the langoustines. Nice an informal setting, the waiters are great and you don't feel rushed at all. The one restaurant you must visit if in Lisbon.

“Amazing selfish”
Reviewed March 31, 2014

Although it is an old and famous restaurant we had never been there. Even Anthony Bourdain, on his way through Lisbon, come here…. .So we decided now is the time.
We went on a Sunday lunch, which I think was a mistake. No reservation accepted and was completely full when we got there at 13h and remained people having to queue all the time of our meal. But you do not wait much; we have not waited even 10mn. And it was worth it.
If you go there think that you go to eat seafood. Good one. Very good one. And is not cheap. But is fresh (or alive).
We eat gambas al ajillo and grilled tiger pawns. They were excellent. And finished with the famous “prego”(veal steak inside a bread) , very tender meat and the right cook. The best I have ever eaten.
All with good beer by the glass.
For this we paid 80 euros both. But if you're not careful with the seafood you choose the bill easily rises, however if you eat cheap seafood you can even pay a little less.
The service is efficient and as friendly as can be in a restaurant always full and running frantically. Of course it is also a noisy place.
However if you are found of seafood and ours is the best in the world, here is a good place to taste eat it
Oh and has a private park near the street, which is very handy.

“Amazing seafood, frustrating waiting times”
Reviewed March 30, 2014 via mobile

We went to this restaurant on the basis of such good reviews - food and service-wise we were not disappointed. The seafood was some of the best we've had and the wine was reasonable and delicious!

Negative was the waiting to get in. We waited over 1hr 15 mins and it seemed obvious to us the manager in charge was allowing queue jumpers or picking out locals from the back of the queue to jump in front. I'd also query their "no reservations" policy as when we questioned why he was allowing people ahead he advised it's because they had a reservation.

Nonetheless once in there the food really was amazing and would recommend a visit.
