Even if It s not my favorite kind of food, Ramiro's was a very good surprise, seafood was delicious with a fast service, a little bit crowed.

It's as good as it's reviews. We got there about 6:30, ridiculously early by Lisbon standards, and we were in the que for about 40 min. DON'T give up! It's worth it. The waiters spoke little English but had I-pads for Menus in multiple languages. Everything priced in kg, so we were a bit nervous about the total of the bill. The waiter basically has you point to the item and you tell him for 1 or 2 etc persons. We had muscles, steamed prawns, grilled langostino and a swimming crab (Dungeness?) cracked legs and the body cavity was filled with the most delicious, crabby goodness sopped up with bread. Words fail me- it was divine. everyone eats here. Locals and tourists alike. Because of the nature of seafood castoffs: shells, bones etc. the waiter swoops in periodically to replace your plate and bring more napkins. Our bill was pleasantly 58 euro with a couple of beers and coffee. Among the finest seafood meals we've had anywhere in the world!

We were told by a local that is the restaurant their grandmothers ate in, a real Lisbon tradition. We arrived around 18.30, so not too many people even though by the time we left there was a queue. Wonderful seafood, really fresh, forget vegetables, just enjoy using your fingers, buttered toast and dipping it into olive oil and garlic left in the pan, fresh oysters, freshly grilled or boiled crayfish, clams fried up with coriander and parsley with a good fresh local beer and for desert a lemon sorbet topped up with a slash of vodka. A memorable experience.

Went here for dinner, even if in the map it looked like it was far, it was so worth the visit! (and it was not far at all). We arrived "early" for lisbon standards (around 7:30/8PM) and there was already a queue. The ipad menu with pictures helps a lot for the amateurs in seafood like us.
The waiter helped us to decide what to order and we finished for dessert with the steak sandwich (just like Anthony Bourdain did!)
The service is quick, no hassle and efficient (don't expect the waiter to linger while you decide) he/she will fly by and leave the plate in your table without stopping.
Overall a great meal!
