Being a Portuguese living abroad, going to Ramiro when I go back home is the best way to remember the best there is in Portugal.
The restaurant accepts no reservations so get ready to wait half an hour for a table (or more if you come during the weekend). It will depend on how lucky you get.
A menu full of shellfish and other seafood awaits you as soon as you get in. Everything is fresh and cooked amazingly. Make sure to try the goose barnicles and the amazing giant tiger prawns. In the end, ask for a "Prego" (beef steak inside a bread) which is a typical way of finishing your meal here.
The best part comes in the end: the price. Although it is not the cheapest restaurant in Lisbon, 35€-40€ will allow you to have a meal full of seafood and fresh portuguese beer. You won't get anywhere else in Europe.
For some people the environment is a turndown. It's extremely noisy and crowded. For me, it's what makes it special.

One of te best seafood restaurant i have ever been in a while.. Service is fast, prices are reasonable.. Other than the seafood, the steak sandwich is also great! This is a great place to go for a late lunch, It is a little crowded during peak hours..

No reservation? Why?You go there and you know.Saturdayevening 19.15 hours and already 12 people waiting to get a seated. An amazing experience in Portugal.Nobody complaining. We got a seat. The service well organized.Delicious food:Shrimps in garlic,Sapateira,Tiger Shrimps and as dessert Steak in bread. All perfect. After 1 hour 20 we are out of the restaurant,40 people waiting outside. For foreigners the menue is on an iPad in different languages with pictures.I saw Japanese,Spanish and English dealing with it.And all at a reasonable price.
I will go there again, for sure

Go for the food, not the dining experience which can be noisy, rushed, and crowded. Fresh bread. Delicious, decent size portion of garlic shrimp. Nice clams offering. Full range of shellfish, largely ordering by portion size / weight, which is a bit unnerving unless you understand metric weights. Cold beer, decent wine. Fair price. Would go again on another trip to Lisbon. Go early, avoid the lines / crowds. A bit hard to find at first, but not with a decent city map.

I don't speak Portuguese but they made it easy. We showed up @ 10pm on a Friday in January and the place was packed. We were given a beer as we waited, 20 min or so. Not to bad since there was plenty to watch. Waiters flying about, customers buying ginormous langoustines and crabs and the black gold that is pata negra being sliced in front of us. We sat down and tried to decipher the Portuguese menu and then were given an iPad in English so we could get down to business. Pata Negra, prawns, manchego cheese plate, more beer, shrimp in garlic and some buttery muffiny bread. All so good. But it was the pata Negra that made me smile. Walnuts. It tasted like prochutto wrapped walnuts. Not subtly nutty but as if walnuts somehow changed their shape and texture to look like black prochutto. Mmmmmm. Ad as everyone else here can attest the seafood is sublime.
