Four points come mostly of the elegance of the hotel lobby. Our room, for a married couple, was almost large enough, although it seemed to be the smallest one in the 4th floor. The bed was hard for the implant hips of my husband, and if ordering twin bed means one, although broad blanket, it is not good enough for our age! Next time I know to order double bed room...
Breakfast was excellent, but our Christmas Eve supper was not that, maybe we have to blame our travel agency.
Paying for safety box is not of this day, its should be free for everyone who needs that. Also free Wi-Fi should be at least in the lobby, if not in rooms.
The nearness of the Martim Moniz city part does disturb a little bit, even though someone told me that things have got better. Location was, however, good for any direction to go.

Centralized location. Tram 28 just over the street. 15 minutes to the border of the river. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room was a bit old fashioned. Quality of bed was ok.
Breakfast buffet was good.
A no-go is the non-free wireless.

Very friendly staffs. There was always a smile on their face the minute you step out from the vehicle to the reception counter. Service rendered too is excellent. It is a perfect location or rather centralized location for tourist. The popular Tram No. 28 is just in front of the Hotel. It is the best way to see Lisbon. The hotel is clean and I could not find any fault in the service they had rendered. I took triple sharing room and it was just perfect. We had so much of space to put our luggages.

The location was absolutely devine. You could walk to everything, everywhere. OK, so the beds were a little hard and perhaps the rooms a tad bit small but hey, it's Europe, not Hollywood. My room (#720) had views from two sides....a panorama of history, plazas, shops, cablecars, entertainment, castles.... and all this viewing during the recent full moon solar eclipse. I wouldn't have traded it for anything. The food was OK but with the best pastry shops, local food, fresh seafood a few steps away, who cares? This hotel has the best location of any. It's really charming.

Room Tip: Room 720 is a charm...large windows on two sides.

This may be called a 4-star hotel but but probably would be lucky if it were rated as a 2-star. The roof restaurant is 4-star but NOT the hotel. Rooms are basic but out dated. Some elevators are out of service with no attempts to fix them. Staff at check in are unfriendly and do not want to acknowledge patrons even if they are the only ones in line. Doormen talk only to each other. hookers ply their trade right outside the front door. Location and Restaurant do not warrent a 4-star and the status should definately be reviewed. Staff should also be retrained. This is the only Hotel in Portugal that I found not offering good service.

Room Tip: If location is all you want, stay here. If service is important to you, any hotel would be better

This is not a 4 star hotel , more like a 3 star . Maybe different if you are given a nice room and staff change as well as breakfast. Only major plus point is location.
Waited 10 mins to check in as only 1 person doing this job. Wasnt greeted with a smile, the guy seemed pretty unhappy and couldnt even welcome me to the hotel.
Got to the room , large in size for a city hotel but it was a very poorly decorated run down room. Not cleaned properly, view of derelict houses , dusty, bathroom not very clean , hair on bed and I was left a pair of tatty shoes. Bed was not 4 star standard. Not an ideal for cold weather as heater takes too long to warm room. Just one plug socket in the entire room. I would say take your own hair dryer as the one in my room was like the suction part of the hoover. Under the carpet is bubble wrap so you have fun when walking & popping.
Breakfast looked like there was a good selection, however bread does not toast well even after 5 mins. Eggs are cold and really poorly cooked and coffee is bitter. Thank God for the tiny fruit section as only edible thing. That morning I was sick due to the food.
In general the staff are not very attentive , especially when wanting information. You would be better off asking shop keepers.
The only plus point is the location ,as only a couple of mins walk to the main square. Defiantly not a 4 star hotel though , only worth 3 stars. Hugely disappointed with the hotel and lack of care to their customers/ guests.

Room Tip: Try to pay a little bit more for a renovated room with an actual view. Dont ask for 2nd floor as ro...
