Me and my wife went there for a weekend in late april. We got the suite, and it was complete new. The hotel is placed only 5 min. walk from center. Just beneath the hotel, was a wonderful restaurant "Buenos Aires" and we can recommend the "Mojito" :-)

Room Tip: We paid a little extra for the suite, but is worth the money. It was large and with a good view over...

I highly recommend Casa Balthazar. The rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable and beautifully decorated. In the morning, a delicious breakfast of meats, breads, fruits and sweets is delivered by the staff at the time you request. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Their main concern is the comfort of their guest and it shows.
Casa Balthazar is a peaceful oasis in the middle of Lisbon!

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rooms. We stayed in the panoramic terrace, which...

our first stay in Lisbon was crowned with this hotel, wich we found by lucky chance. The location coudn't be better.all the important places of interest we could discover by foot, the tascas, restaurants("cafe buenos aires",best steak in Lisbon!) and Fado on every corner.about our room I can say it is furnitured with excellent taste, everything is functional and the bed is very comfortable.but the best of all was the view.even from the bed we could see the "castelo de Sao Jorge".if by day we had this extraordinary view over Lisbon,by night it is simply breathtaking! people are very friendly and helpful.breakfast in the room is also very relaxing and yummy.I can absolutely recomend this wonderful place and we surley will come back. The hotel has a great location in Lisbon - many of the attractions are within walking distance - or jump on the great trams or metro. Whilst in the heart of the city, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the Panoramic Terrace room. The bed, room, kitchen area and bathroom were splendid as was the large private terrace. A fine breakfast of breads cakes and fruits was brought to our room every day. Caterina and Louisa were extremely welcoming and helpful during our 1 week stay in Lisbon. The small pool looked good but even though it was sunny (70F ish) it was March and Lisboans were all wearing overcoats so it remained untried by us. We found Lisbon a very attractive and restful City and will certainly return to the City and this hotel.
