Best architectural site in Lisbon. Really beautiful. A must see. Only need 45 mins for it but its worth the entry fee just to sit on the steps and look up

I have been to many churches, everywhere. This one is STUNNING. It is small, and the outside of the church is very modest, but wait until you get inside. The details, the Gold, the lapis lazuli, the unique wood ceiling, it is just a pleasure to enjoy. I would definitely like to visit the Igreja de Sao Roque again.

One of the finedt churches in Lisbon. In fact, we have many but few deserve a mention. Blame the earthquake in 1755 for it. This one is also known by its fine religious artifacts.

so we just wandered the outside and walked uphill for a while and came across a small park and an area which is pretty good for looking over other parts of Lisbon.

we visited by chance, and were not disappointed.
The chapel built, then dismantled and transported over from Rome is amazing (though it does beg the question why?? apart from the Pope's blessing).
Even more fascinating are the religious ossuaries flanking the main altar- very macabre.
