Located right off the Avenida Liberdade right behind the Hard Rock Cafe this pension was in a hard to beat location. Price is affordable at 65 euros/2 in high season. Right out the door in summer were numerous outside restaurants with passersby in abundance. The rooms are simple, yet clean, and the staff is friendly, interesting and full of info on Lisboa.

This place is wonderful! It's clean, efficient, friendly, and has one of the best locations I've ever experienced. It's quiet and peaceful even though it's a few steps away from the center of the tourist area of Lisbon. I stayed a week, and would happily go back. The only negative is the breakfast--the coffee is terrible!

Stayed here 5 nights, . I chose because of the exceptionally convenient location - close to all sights/metro/nightlife of Bairro Alto. It's less than a minute's walk from Hard Rock Cafe. You can get a better hotel for same price further from centre if higher standard rooms are required. We were allocated a triple room (2 of us) so was spacious. Basic furniture but spotlessly clean, guys on reception friendly and helpful. Very basic breakfast but that is the norm for a pensao in Portugal. To summarise; it's ideal if you're there for Lisbon and its pleasures but if a special occasion you'll need to spend much more to stay in the centre.

We had spent the week further north and were looking for somewhere to stay so we could catch a flight out of Lisbon airport the next day. We wanted somewhere central and on the cheap side and this place was perfect. Even though the entrance doesn't look much, the people who run this place are so friendly and were happy to look after our luggage while our room was made ready and we went for a walk. Once inside our room we were happy to fiund we had two french windows, one off the bedroom and another off the bathroom that looked hugh up over the street to a pretty garden opposite. The furniture is not the most modern but there is a TV, air conditioning and the shower was great. We had a very restful night's sleep once we hit the hay and I will definitely head straight back when I next stay in the city. The only thing I can complain about was the breakfast, I didn't even know it was included when we arrived but it is a bit on the basic side (bread and jam).

Our room was very clean and had two large french windows which opened onto the street for fresh air. For the price, we were definitely satisfied as the location from which to explore Lisbon is fantastic. I'm only giving 4 stars as 1) the WIFI does not work properly at all, and 2) the breakfast is a sad state of affairs - cold bread and jam. The street gets noisy which is going to be an issue for some (but it didn't bother us as we live in NYC and hear garbage trucks and bar goers all the time). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful!

A very nice small pension/hotel, perfectly located and worth its price. Nice and helpful staff. I was on a short visit (2 days), on the way back from Azores. I would definitely recommend this place to those who look for a nice and acceptable place at a reasonable price.

The service was PERFECT. those 3 men that served us through the 3 days need a pay rise, funny, cool, informative, great aspect of the hotel. THE HOTEL IS SO HARD TO FIND. but they kept our luggage on the day of arrival when we were staying with family for that night anyway, so we could go look around they kept them there and then come pick up our luggage to head to a family members just for the one night. There was a weird smell in the room, a strong cleaning smell and the air-con is hard to work hahaha, the rooms were small as well, but location is great, clean, service was all good! I found it a bit expensive though, but I guess the reception made up for it, also the laundry services are ridiculously expensive, maybe find somewhere else for that. Be expected for the area around to be BUSY and the restaurant walk ways to attack you with "hello and look a the menu" etc
