First of all, the location is very central. On a popular pedestrian street near behind Rossio - you can't really get more central.

The room was really quite small by any standards, but for me that's fair enough for such a central hotel at a decent price. Everything was clean, the ac worked well, the breakfast buffet (included) was decent, the staff helpful when asked for something. No complaints.

I stayed with my family in a triple room from 7-12July 2014.
We are allotted a triple room on the 4th floor. There were double bed in one room and a sofa bed in the other. The room with the sofa bed was without air-condition, without fan, very poor ventilation, etc. It was not fit to house any human being.
We were unhappy with room, brought the matter to the front desk. We were told that ours was a standard room and all triple rooms were like that. Instead they requested the 3 of us to squeeze into the double room. We relented hearing that it was their standard triple room. But we found that it was not true when they changed our room. They gave us a proper triple room.
I have brought to the attention of the staff that the room where we were initially allotted was not fit to house a person.
However, the staff at the hotel, particularly Mr Nuno was very helpful. He was patient and helped us with the many information on Lisbon and its places of interest.

We arrived by train to Lisbon and walked to this hotel easily. It is close to restaurants and was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a computer that I used to print my boarding passes. The tub was not big but ok for me.

Great location for a 3 star hotel, very clean, air-conditioning and on a pedestrian street with many restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be that as I was situated near the lift, I would be woken by late-night comers.

Room Tip: Higher floor and not near lift

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of June. Front desk staff in very nice and helpful. Rooms are a size of a shoebox, but it is standard in Europe . Crisp clean sheets, nice bathroom and a comfortable bed, that is all we needed. They also have a nice breakfast , too bad that it is not available earlier, people do have flight to catch , 7:00 am would have been nice. Internet is ok, cuts in and out.
Fantastic location for all your exploring !
Stay here!

Rooms small and old fashioned but clean. Nothing fancy but grand if you're on a budget. Has very effective air conditioning which is always a plus when staying in a hot city during the summer! Good location, a short walk from Alfama/St.George's castle and very near a metro stop. Lots of touristy restaurants nearby. Watch out for gypsies around Lisbon offering you 'drugs' - we were informed this is quite a common tourist scam and we're offered them 13 times in 3 days!

Six of us stayed there for 5 nights at the end of April/beginning of May and had booked online from home (Melbourne, Australia). We weren't disappointed. If you measure the worth of a hotel by location (just off Praca dos Restauradores and so central), breakfast (full buffet of hot and cold items), comfortable bed, good bathroom, air con, Safety Deposit box facility, lounge, friendly service and surrounded by restaurants, then Residencial Florescente passes on all counts. While our room was quite small, our friends in 106 had a very good size room. Minor negative - no fridge in the room, but that's not unusual in Europe. It's not 4 or 5 star (who needs that anyway), but thoroughly recommended.

Room Tip: Corner rooms are bigger and probably a room at the back, to avoid street noise.
