Owner description: Alface Hall... Alface Hall is the spot to relax and have a drink with your friends! This cosy bar/café, that was once a newspaper print-house, was totally decorated with collectable items to create a unique environment. We invite you to listen to great music of our vinyl collection, while tasting the best Sgroppino in Portugal, accompanied by one of our famous toasts. Also Alface Hall is a cultural spot in Lisbon where you will be able to watch live shows of Jazz, Bossa Nova, Soul, and so much more. Bring your music talent .... we have JAM Sessionshope to see you here.....

We came to Lisbon for our honeymoon and were looking for a place for live music. This place is GREAT and has excellent jazz music. We were surprised how few people were there (although it was a Tuesday night) given the quality of the music. We are from LA and this place would be completely packed if it were in LA- cheap drinks, no cover charge, and live music. Also the head musician can play trumpet, saxophone, harmonica, and electric guitar. Pretty amazing. Would go here all the time if I lived in Lisbon.

Great place to end an evening! We were given a flyer while walking outside and decided to stop in. The jazz band was made up of 4 young guys-very talented and earnest. The hall is a storefront open to the street decorated with thrift store furniture and worn throw rugs. Very comfortable and cozy. We ordered drinks (same price as everywhere else...beer, wine 2-3 euros) and enjoyed the band who were very appreciative of our applause. Go earlier in the evening, around 10 since it started to fill up quickly after the band's first set. We went back the second night and closed out the place.
