Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on a Trafalgar tour. I was in a single room which was the size of a shoe box. There was hardly enough room to put my suitcase anywhere! I have stayed in single rooms in Europe before that have never been that small! On the plus side the room and bathroom were spotless and modern. The bed was hard and rather uncomfortable so I did not sleep well.

The location of the hotel is not ideal and about a 25 minute walk to the tourist areas. It is however located near a metro train station which takes you into the centre. I was advised not to use the public trains at night as it is not safe.I would suggest buying a day card for 6 Euros which gives you unlimited travel on public transport for the day, including the trams. A taxi to the main square costs about 5 Euros.

There is Fast free wi-fi and good breakfast selection though they seemed to struggle with large groups. Check in staff not overly friendly or helpful when I asked them for help.

Overall this is a pretty average hotel with an out of the way location. I would not stay here again given the option.

Very clean and comfy beds. Breakfast is good with a lot of choice. No tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom. Did not eat in the restaurant in the evening. The reception staff were a little grumpy especially when I brought down the ironing i wanted done (there was no iron available to do it myself). I had been told the night before that someone would come and collect my blouses but they didn't so I had to take them to reception in the morning. Cabs were easy to hail outside the hotel. All in all a nice hotel for business.

We spent 4 nights in this very clean and well appointed hotel. The room we had was adequate for our needs but I think you would need something a little larger if you stay for some time. For us it was great because we were exploring Lisbon not the hotel room. Good breakfast. Fantastic friendly staff and a reasonable price. What more does one want. Across the road is the Metro and a fantastic tree lined road which takes you down to the Resturant area of the town. Lisbon is a great city with lots to do This hotel is the ideal place to stay and we will return. Just checked out flights this morning.

Good location and friendly staff (overworked at the bar so long delays possible). Rooms 3 star plus. Internet free and works mostly. Small sun terrace. Breakfast quite good with a large selection but main meals – Oh, dear… best eat out. Lots of holiday package tours here – not a high end hotel but OK.

hotel in a very good location in Lisbon.Good for ttransport Very good value and excellent breakfasts. Rooms particulary twin room very spacious. Lisbon is cheaper than a lot of cities to eat out. Resonable little local Cantinas in street behind Ava Liberade . Going down this street turn left by Tivoli Theatre and go ndown to bottom street. These "Cantinas "have menu displayed on paper tablecloths and although nothing fancy are good value. The Galouste Gulbenkian museum is well worth a visit,as is the design museum MUDE. A day trip by train to Cascais is a must particulary on a sunny day to to the seaside.

Aside from one incident I had with the food, this Hotel was excellent. Room was awesome, location is perfect, and the place is just high quality.

However, we decided on the dinner one night (30EUR) and it was awful. Service was absolutely terrible - one of the waiters was actually on his CELLPHONE - ignoring customers. They lost 10-12 customers through lack of care. People were walking in, being ignored - then walking out.

I could go on. It was was far my worst experience of service in Portugal.

The worst thing is - I have complained twice, but no-one seems to check the mails. (1 x email, 1 x support ticket). So no response!!

That part of it was unacceptable. But overall I still would stay an recommend this hotel - just not the evening food/service and complaints procedure (non existant).

Room Tip: Don't get the evening food (30eur)!!

The desk staff, the bell staff, and the wait staff were all excellent: professional, friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and accomodating. Some of the best service I've ever received in any hotel.
The room was small (this is Europe) but clean and modern, with extra electrical outlets. The wireless signal was good. The food was well above average for a conference buffet.
I highly recommend this hotel.
