We were recommended this restaurant by The House where we were staying. As it was very close and within walking distance we thought we would try it. This is very much a family/local restaurant and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The meals are very basic - but very good quality. The fish is on display and the waiter will proudly bring the fish to you at the table to show you before its cooked (of which we found very amusing coming from Oz). Very fresh and tasty. The barbecued chicken is delicious and worth a try also. All meals are served up with potatoes (done as chips or boiled), vegies, rice and salad. If you are looking for a foody experience this is not the place to dine. Its basic but good food. As it was conveniently located to our Guesthouse we ate there 4 nights. Meals are very reasonably priced too - main meal with veggies etc and a small carafe of house wine - average cost for two was around 15 euros. The waiter was good - limited English - but we got by. We tipped him every night - however on our last night we were a bit annoyed as we asked for 2 bananas that were on the counter (we were flying out early in the morning and thought it would be a good snack for brekky) and he had the cheek to charge us 3 euros! Thought that was a bit over the top.
